It's been a long time for me but people manually eat, right clicking foodstacks, in order to keep stat food from being used right?

The food on the first slot of your inventory gives you stats regardless of if you eat it? so staying full on junk and just keeping 1 food 1 drink in your first 2 slots is the way to go?

thanks

Correct.

Right click eating makes a food use 1/2 of its food duration (currently all are the same)

Stat bonus is granted by first available in your inventory, NOT what you ate most recently.

Food Emotes: Forcing your character to eat by right clicking food
will now properly display the appropriate emote to those in the area.

I recall right clicking to force feed at the least during Velious era, and the patch note above was during Velious and mentions it as if referring to a feature that was already in the game. I don't know if it was out at release, but it is at least classic (before Luclin).

Food items now have a 'duration'. This means that some food items
will not sustain a character as long as others, and some items will
sustain your character longer than they did before.

This was before Luclin.

Speaking of manually eating, am I eating every single meal with my grubby ass hands? I'd like to think I have more class than that.

Where's that silly notion of elves being vegetarians coming from?

Wood elves, harmony with nature? I dunno :3 Rangers don't track animals just to pet them, that's for sure.

As a Monk, I managed to get baking up to 200 (not during classic though) with vegetables, fruits, roots, milk, etc. Dark Chocolate Cremes came out with Velious and go up to 138 skill. And they taste great.

Monks are super cultured and thus always eat with their hands. Even rice, and bean soup.

I don't remember what stat foods there were back then.

This sounds like one of those things that fixing for the sake of classic doesn't seem all that worthwhile.

Especially since we're nearly at the point where it was added anyway.
