My first charactrer way back in beta was an Ogre, so I have some pretty strong memories of Feerott. Though whoever posted the picture of the wood elf town, a wood elf was my first character when the game went live, so that definitely is in my mind when I think about Everquest as well.

Shakerpaging wasn't it? Using the Earthshaker 2h from The Hole which proc'd Earthquake while using a warrior disc that caused you to rampage everything nearby (which causes a million procs) and murdered everything instantly?

That is what Shakerpaging was. You needed to Slow the warrior too by dueling a shaman. And avataring to max dex and proc rate.

Though... That screenshot involved 0 Shakerpaging :).

Not a disc, an AA. Rampage -- was like 72s CD. Was doable prior to AAs, though, with the enrage disc. It'd be interesting to see if a warrior could do it in kunark :P

I came here to re-live classic. Classic to me was all the way up to and INCLUDING Planes of Power for me. After that expansion I believe they ruined the game.

Honestly as long as I have Planes in the game I am happy. If I was dying for new content every couple months I would be playing a new game, not an old one.

Ah, so to clarify my post of the PoK book screenshot. It is one of the first things to come to mind for me as with their implementation I began to fall out of love with EQ.

I wouldn't be opposed to PoP implementation, less the fast travel and all-in-one city hub. Same with Luclin and spires/nexus/bazaar. I don't have a source, so this might be complete bull, but I believe to have heard that much of the lore through PoP expansion was conceptualized from the begin of EQ development.

I'm torn on how I feel about this. On one hand it is certainly classic, though on the other I can't see how it benefited immersion. Thankfully lvl 30 or so and you didn't need it any longer iirc.

I suspect that the number of caster classes would be significantly less.

iirc, no there isn't. The version of EQ p99 is based off of doesn't support that UI.

as much nostalgia and found memories with that old UI, i can still remember the day when they release the new UI similar to what we have today with the titanium client and I was sooooo happy, i spent a few very excited and happy hours setting it up and never looked back. It was def an improvement. Even if the old UI were available, I don't think I would use it.

spent soooo much time there with my druid on live. I think my fav section was the alice in wonderland part, where it was like little tiny sized rooms that got bigger and the mobs got bigger too. All the mystery and secrets, everything I loved about EQ all in one zone =)
