I don't think you can buy 10 slot "deluxe sewing kits" from any vendor. From what I gather the these are only in game at all because there was a brief period when the large sewing kits were changed to 10 slot items, but Verant seems to have decided that this was a mistake and now large sewing kits sold by vendors only have the original 8 slots.

Any of the large sewing kits held by players when they changed the large sewing kits back to 8 slots were converted to the new 10 slot "deluxe sewing kits" during a recent patch to prevent any loss of items from people's inventories when the patch took effect. So far as I know these are likely to be the only deluxe sewing kits ever available in the game, so if you want one you will need to find another player who has an extra one that he is willing to sell.

Agreed. Also the coldain tanners kits weren't in game or required for velious tailoring until 4 months after velious launched. When the tanner kits appeared, the 10 slot sewing kit poofed, and all the 10 slot kits in game had their name changed to deluxe sewing kits. Denmother ranted about it on the front page of eqtraders in the wayback machine in 2001.

During Velious, some tailoring recipes were introduced that required more than 8 ingredients to make. As a result, for a very short period any newly purchased Large Sewing Kits had 10 slots instead of the normal 8 slots. However, people started complaining because this change meant that the Large Sewing Kits had as many slots as tailored backpacks but weighed less, and held 'Giant' sized items. So, they removed the 10-slot Large Sewing Kit from vendors and switched it back to 8-slots. The people who already had purchased any 10-slot Large Sewing Kits kept them, but the Large Sewing Kits were renamed to Deluxe Sewing Kits, and it's weight was increased to 4.0.

Come Velious, be sure to get your hands on the 10-slot ones while they last.
