This is going to be the major cockblock at launch - 30 min respawn on the key dropping mob. Way worse than Xalgoz in Kunark - it blocks access to 6 different zones.

At least the key ports the entire group, so everyone doesn't need one.

This key acts like a Group gate, if one person in a group uses the key all group members near him are zoned into Cobaltscar.

you can do the quest for the key while KOS in about 20 minutes without killing anything. I mean, surely someone is going to kill the guy making the quest annoying, but the quest is quick. You just need someone to calm the noble who will aggro in kael.

Yes for sure on him dropping it, not 100% sure it being a group gate at launch however I never had the key on my druid but was clicked through around a month into Velious to get CS portal fang.

Not so much - you can charm the noble in Kael to do turn ins but I'm pretty sure you need better than indifferent with Ziglark to do the turn in with for the key, so charming him won't work (maybe with Puppet Strings?).

He did. I got my key day 1 by killing him.

Well the first key can port people through and zone back to port more through. Though that will be some mega drama if one guild tries to lock down that camp for days.

The key is currently single-person only. It does not port nearby group members like it should. I had two group members in the water with me when I clicked through to Cobalt Scar, and they were left behind in Skyshrine.

Also the key isn't dropping 100% of the time. In 3 kills 2 keys dropped.

I just died to test draggro in Icewell and noticed it wasn't on me in NRo, though my Colbalt Scar tooth was.

I died again to confirm I hadn't misread my keys and also noticed that when I died I got the following message each time:

Pending update:

-Shrine key is soulbound
-Ziglark drops the key 100% of the time
-Clicking on the pot to cobalt scar while grouped will also transport group members in close proximity.

I think 80-90% is accurate. I remember him not always dropping it, but it was nearly guaranteed.

He should also be a 8point faction hit. Multiple examples of people killing 9 frost giants to get back to max faction on internet.

Just have your bards do the quest in 5 minutes like I did. I can get to WW without killing anything or going invis or aggroing a mob. No faction gaining required.

Looks like all the comments on Allakhazam are 2002-2003ish so after Skyshrine revamp, maybe they changed the faction required to something higher than charm gives (indifferent).

That Graffe's post says you can even do it if Ziglark is Dubious.

I completed this quest last night. The classic resources I used to complete the quest:

Some notes:
1) "What Access?" Did not trigger any response, even though I was dubious at the time (due to Cinda's Charismatic Carillon (http://wiki.project1999.com/Cinda%27s_Charismatic_Carillon))
2) "I am worthy" at amiable (charmed) resulted in the note to Wenglawks. A monk next to me (Accost) also said he received the note while I had him charmed (indifferent).
3) Wenglawks is indifferent while the Zromzek (I think, nobles are not on entrance mob faction, which I assume is Kromrif) were apprehensive (after Cinda's Charismatic Carillon (http://wiki.project1999.com/Cinda%27s_Charismatic_Carillon))
4) Wenglawks did not respond to hails, I simply turned in the note from Ziglark and the 200p and received the note for Ziglark.
5) The final turnin to Ziglark was completed with Dubious faction.
6) As of last night, the group-key function had not been implemented yet, but I remember reading on these boards that is already a pending update.

Quick question for the devs: is it intended for this to require a key when Velious is launched here? Apparently it did not for the first two days of Velious on live, due to a mistake:

Fixed a problem with passage from Skyshrine to Cobalt Scar. Travel in that direction was supposed to require a key.


I found it amusing that it was released in a similar fashion here - not requiring a key, when it was intended to - as it was on live.
