An Smartphone App For EQ players

Hey guys,
i have been paying eq for a LONG time as i am sure most of you here have been too. it was only after the fall of EQmac that i came to p1999. it was while i was using my smart phone earlier this month, that i realized there was not a single smartphone application, which focuses on everquest classic. So i decided to make a tool for players to use while in game. Thus my creation "everquest classic" mobile app
Currently available on android (search everquest in google play) and pending approval in itunes (eta 5-10days)

i hope you guys enjoy the app. i welcome constructive criticism and bug reports.
i am also open to ideas on what to change for next version.

Is there anyway to communicate with someone auctioning in the ec tunnel? Or for you yo post auctions

currently users cannot communicate with auctions in tunnels. this is why i created "east commnlands tunnel" (chat), for users to /auction while not logged into game

I'm in school for computer science right now. Just finished my first C# programming term. Out of curiosity, what language do you use to write mobile apps?

iOS uses Objective-C, Android uses a form of Java, and Windows Phone 7/8 uses C#, all with their own APIs generally distinct from desktop-targeted forms of the languages, and often much less forgiving.

You could link it up so that the usernames in the tunnel link with a P99 forum account, and both sides can then swap messages that way?

lol i only made it for the two ios platforms with most people. any platform which gains 10% or more of the market, i will adapt app to that platform.

regarding auction. ive noticed today feed has been delayed. (2 hours ago) etc. how did you make website. what tools. lets see if we can make a mobile friend version :-) thanks for offer

Yea, while technically simple/trivial, anything that would automate a part of the game (even having a mule do /sends via a script) would break the p99 rules so won't happen :cool:

understood. well can you have your auction feed recognize when mobile decive viewing site/ modify appearence for mobile?

It should already have a mobile layout (although I may have forgot to add another when I recently redid the UI).

You could do messaging via push notifications on your app end though for 2 people with app to talk directly to each other.

Usually if your device isn't compatible, Google Play won't let you even look at it. I don't think this is the case with the Apple store though. Pretty positive that you can at least look at apps that aren't compatible.

Was working OK n my Nexus 7 16 2013. Not compatible with Nexus 7 32 2014. Hope its fixed soon, I used this a a LOT!!

You should not emulate Everquest you should not infringe on SOE you should notify people that SOE can take your EQ account over discussing that emulated server on EQ forums . I may still be in trouble and I love EQ1:(

Anyone with a Galaxy S3 able to get the app to work? I have downloaded and installed, but on boot it only sticks at the splash screen (with a pair of "Loading..." messages that briefly flash and then disappear) :confused:
