Hey I have questions about P99

3. Is there enough people that play on P99 to get grps going?
4. Is it over populated?
5. What is the roleplaying like?

7. Why are halflings so much cooler than every other race?:p

Why don't you just try it. It's free and takes 0 effort to get up and running.

Is it medium populated? Is it very fun? A little fun? Maximum fun? Jesus Christ

It's about medium-populated, with many extremes in both directions. Popular zones are over-camped whereas some zones are under-appreciated (just like back in the day).

The community has its share of people who are douchebags, people who are boring, people who are overly bubbly, and people who are actually really interesting and funny. I'd say way more people fall into the last category than on the average Live server.

The server isn't 100% classic (due to bugs/client limitations/etc.), but it "feels" classic.

The server is largely what you make of it.

edit: Also, Aisi is right. The proof is in the pudding, as they say.

Dude its the most fun ive had playing any MMO since EQ, the devs have done an amazing job of keeping everything as close to vanilla as possible down to the downright shitty parts. The community, for the most part, is great! A lot of people are helpful and there are plenty of people to group with. Once they get around to the IP exemption ill be playing with my whole family just like old old old school eq.

live was a lot more interesting to me because i didnt know wtf i was doing.. i remember making the journey from Qeynos to oasis.. was one of the most awesome things ive ever done in a video game till this day.. was a looong ass, dangerous run that really felt epic and meaningful.. man good times

I had a lot of fun leveling up and meeting people, there a lot of people who are willing to help you out. It's fortunate that there are a lot of casual players, normally on these emulator servers you just have a ton of people who get to max level and quit. *bait* The community on this server is pretty gnarly, just don't get to level 50 and you'll have plenty of fun. ;)

(ProjectEQ, circa 2003 -- you could even grab their old databases, go through the changelog and update the database to current schema, and have a decent classic server)

Angelox's database isn't too shabby, either but it goes further than Velious :(
