I wanted to petition an idea that I think would benefit the P99 community.
Can we make an addition to this website/forum to add a in game screenshot page.
I don't know if many people remember, but there was an old website called www.everlore.com it featured a screenshot of the day, and 100s of player photos. I think it would be great to show photos from the game.
It will give an idea to newcomers of what to expect, and see the awesome job done restoring the game.
I don't know, its just an idea.

yeah everlore was super addictive, honestly browsing it was nearly as fun as actually playing everquest.
Screenshots of the day could be very amusing, we have a very "eccentric" community. Seems like a great idea.

I'd also love to have this feature, and would definitely contribute!
I have seen screenshot threads around here but those feel more convoluted than an actual gallery would. I hate paging through a thread of 200 replies when only like 50 have an actual photo, then another 100 are duplicates of people replying by "quoting" the photo.
Your will be done, courtesy of PeacePipeGuild.com (http://PeacePipeGuild.com)

Not bad at all. Although I wonder if we can get a free domain, and link with Project 1999 on the home page.

You could set up a photobucket account.
My only gripe with photobucket is that they have a maximum display size. But they have an extremely lenient storage and bandwidth cap. You can create albums which automatically thumbnail and can have both captions and descriptions, and can embed images directly with standard IMG./IMG code
If you decide to do it, I've got plenty of screenshots I could submit already, I'm always taking screenshots of landscapes when the lighting is right.

I think the way it should work is this: people submit screenshots and the people in charge of the website have a pool of them. In their spare time they pick screenshots that are worthy of being "screenshot of the day", and only those get posted publicly. So, it's not like a photobucket account where any bland old picture can make it. I think this would help (a) keep people interested in playing, as they get into funny situations that they deem worthy of screenshotting, and (b) draw in players from outside the community who don't know much about the project.

sounds like a good idea, but couldnt we just start a forum in general and post pictures. Than just have a mod sticky it.
