Last night I was looking around for ways to enhance my everquest experience, and I ran into this thread. http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=2482
I installed the files exactly like it said, loaded my game up, everything was working fine. I did notice a significant increase in loading time, but I guess thats to be expected. After a few zones I noticed that it was taking a ridiculous amount of time to even initiate the loading screen (client would just sit at the zone boarder frozen for a few minutes) and then finally started loading. I did not think this was normal, I eventually got frustrated and just ended the process.
My computer is modern and there is no way it should take even a fraction of the time it was taking to zone. I was consistantly getting error 1017 while trying to relog after a crash, and when I didn't get the error, either I would beable to load the character screen, select my character at hit enter world. This seemed to work a couple times, but then I tried loading into Greater Feydark and the game would just freeze up again. I decided to let it sit there and maybe it would fix itself, but after about 3-6 minutes it would just send me back to the main menu with absolutely no error message of any kind.
I suspected it might have something to do with the server, because if you try to zone after the server is unresponsive, your client will just freeze at zone boarder until you either time out or the server kicks back into gear. It was really late, so I decided to call it a night and maybe it would fix itself tomorrow. I have no idea if the server was actually causing me any issues, regardless of all of that I decided to do a complete reinstalled and add all of the p1999 files again. Despite having a fresh client, a new day, and no issues with the server prior to this, I still cannot log my character into Greater Feydark. It will just freeze up soon as I hit enter world, and then eventually just kick me back to the main menu.

A: No, it does the exact same thing.

A: Yes, it did not help.

A: Yes
I'm really at a loss here, and I would greatly appreciate any help. Hopefully there are some out there who have experienced similar issues. If I had known some textures were going to cause me this much of a headache, I would of just left them alone.
