A thought on serverwide ooc / Exp mod.

I don't listen to the GM Stream's just going off of people talking in game and being in mobile, I hear theyre considering changing server exp bonus and removing global ooc.

My suggestion is to remove the exp mod, but increase it if grouped, more people in your group the better the exp mod. Designate a zone where if you use /auction it'll be broadcasted across the whole server, lets use G-Fay for example. You /auction WTS Eboots 5k, everyone on server sees it but your /auction will only be zone-wide unless you are in g-fay.

This would encourage people to meet up in an area, if you wanna avoid the pvp you can just make a level 1 mule. For the people who do show up on there mains/high level alts, it gives newbies an opportunity to start over or start new on Red99 and ask people for buffs, since they will be starting in a centralized zone that'll attract people of all buffs/classes. [I suggest G-Fay due to so many races starting within the area.. and no one likes iksars so who cares about them anyway]

Dont think its a good idea unless pop reaches 500+ regularly. Who cares if theres a group bonus when crushbone was empty 95% of the time when i leveled my rogue there.

Thats a pretty damn good idea. Limit OOC to once every 5-10 mins for letting people find each other for groups.

Very ez... 10 lines max and they probably already know were, but add that to the list of other jobs and it becomes very low priority. TBH someone could submit the code here by just looking at the main EMu fork and that'd make it even easier to port into the P99/R99 code.

Just my opinion here, and its based on compromise, since I'd like to have the 100% xp global along with the scaling modifier. But I could live with the scaling modifier if they kept it and added a healthy group bonus that gets exponentially bigger each time you add a group member. like 10% for 2, 20% for 3, 40% for 4, 80% for 5, 160%! for 6.

Idk those are just some numbers I pulled out of my ass but it seems like a good starting point.

Also I like the auction idea with a centralized location. Hell, make it 3 auction zones one for each primary continent. Antonica, Faydwer, and Kunark. Then of course one for VELIOUS

Nope, sorry, the well has already been poisoned on this server regarding dialogue between Devs/GMs and the player base.

They want to remove OOC and reduce the EXP bonus but put in a group bonus? Fuck that.
