Nothing matches The Avalanches (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gRM1S6Jno8A) to me. When a group of friends decided they wanted to make a band, when they couldn't find instruments at a few garage sales, they bought 3000+ vinyl albums. Using these albums, they started to cut, edit, clip, and manipulate pieces of music to create brand new sounds.
