PvP Melee/Hybrid Gearing Information

The P1999 wikis have a breakdown of pre-planar, planar, and planar gearing guides from a PvE point of view. Could someone (some people?) throw together the same for pvp gearing at the same points + Velious Groupable + Velious Raid?

Until then I guess I will just throw some resist jewelry on some characters for pvp gear sets for melee tuning.

had 179 fire resist, had a bunch of sunstrikes cast on me and they did typically about 50% damage, none were full resisted, thought that at 169 fire resist(after sunstrike's -10 modifier) that we should be seeing like 70% full resist rates?

had 107 cold, had like 5 draught of ice cast and they all did between 50%-75% damage, none did full damage, definitely an improvement there too

full resisted 2 out of 4 draught of jiva casts with 111 magic resist, also pretty good

at any rate, it's better than it was before, but doesn't quite seem to be the function you posted before unless i'm missing something

Is it possible to have 100+ all elemental and MR in vel on a melee?

Is pretty much what I would go by, current era + jewlery, non-dropped gems and dropped gems are the elite (most people have at least blue diamand/jacinths here at 60)

In classic a geared melee would be hard to 1v1 for a caster. Basically casters had to win by attrition and never get caught or run down. I'de imagine necros having a bit of an edge cause of litch and shadowstep. outdoors at that point.

I'll try to do a few every day at work

mainly so I can say I accomplished something while at work

**edit** When determining velious groupable items, I assumed that they anything that was dropable was allowed, along with anything from previous expansions. I define velious groupable as anything not from NTOV, Dozekar, ST, Kael/Skyshrine/Thurg Bosses. I included the wrapped entropy spine whip and gloomwater bows on all the profiles, because they were broken on live and i remember using them on my rogue. If not pointed out now, it will be overpowered and abused here like Tstaffs for the first year of kunark.

Also, for the raid profiles, and even the velious groupable profiles, every melee will have access to flowers of functionality from the plane of mischief, which adds another +40 to every resist. Every raid level character can click dain's hammer which is another +30 MR and 300hp for any class that isn't a shaman.

Warrior - I don't think the Magelo takes into account the innate bonus that warriors get for magic resist, so add +40 to all the MR totals.
