With trolls and douchebags willing to make themselves known on the internet these days, this project is impossible.

Pretty much my thoughts exactly.

I've been watching it for a few minutes now. It's absolutely ridiculous. Funniest parts are people randomly blurting out idiotic comments in chat, i.e:
"Guys this boss is too hard
Power"

Seems like lag is delaying movement inputs.
Zadrian

It's not lag. They added that democracy thing so that it would be a bit more civilized rather than an anarchical clusterfuck.
Basically, you have a set number of seconds and whichever command has the most inputs, the character takes..
This whole project is all very metaphorical when it comes to anarchy and governance.

So why would the majority vote to run the guy into a corner over and over? Or into a wall.

Because, idiots.

I admire the innovation, but I don't see why people hit the subscribe button on twitch unless all they do is watch a broadcaster for hours per day :p

Too much money and not enough hobbies, I reckon.

I'm sure over a period of days you could feel some sort of progression but I watched it for 5 minutes and had no idea how anything got done.

The best part of watching this is when you actually witness -hours upon hours- of progress wiped away. Last night when I started watching, they were apparently really far into a maze, and people somehow activated a Pokemon's "Dig" ability, porting the player outside of the maze. Basically hit the reset button. I believe this happened again later on, too, but in a different maze.
The rage coupled with confusion is amazing.

Yeah it's pretty fucked up. I wish someone would post a play by play because 99% of it is random circular movements with the start button thrown in there for good measurement.
This one is at least doing something though - apparently a number of other ones have popped up too. I laughed when I saw "twitch plays super Mario" and that in 15 hours they still haven't gotten anywhere past the first hole.
