Simulated repops are nothing like variance. There is no sitting around waiting. None of the poopsocking nonsense.

If a counter-strike "collect the YT" approach is something someone is interested in, then this is probably not the guild for you. Red Dawn has always been on the lookout to add every player they can that is fun to play with and doesn't hurt the guild. If the people that left to Azrael were still in the guild this would not be any different. Saying RD is trying to replace what left is pretty far from the truth. It sounds like HB is trying to give new players some people to play with and get newcomers to stay on the server within Red Dawn rather than recycle players that have been on the server for years.

From my experience, id say its kinda split 50/50 once u get in game? Havent logged in 6 months though.

People like brainz are cool when they arent doing... that thing and you meet people like Jezibelle, Sharlen, pudge, and Noah, fun people to be around, Andis/lite even if they like their shinies too much and I dont like to have them in a position where they decide where the loot goes, which i think are allrite, but then you run across people like Maximilien and u start thinking the forums arent so bad after all. Some of the azrael people i met, forgot their names, are some of the worst pixel lusting whores ive ever encountered in any MMO ive played, and ive tried a fuckton of em. Like he was entrenched in a position that was obviously wrong, and didnt wanna admit that he was wrong. My point was that if you have a long guild tag in wow, it sticks out of corners and gives your position away when youre trying to be stealthy in PVP. Theres no ifs or buts, thats how it is. But because his first position was that the length of the guild name had zero influence in pvp, he wasnt able to admit he was wrong and instead tried to bully and shout me down on the forums to get me to change my position, which was the right, tactically advantageous one (lawl). If youre in a leading position, and youre entrenching yourself in a bad viewpoint because you dont wanna lose face and your ego is too big to admit you were wrong, you shouldnt be in that position.

And i made a point of specifying that yea, its really not that important, but sometimes, you will run into a situation where you are say, stuck in a building (example, after rezzing from a pvp death), and in order to peek around the corner in 3rd person to see whats outside and make a decision if you can take the reds that are outside or stay hidden and wait for backup, you are in a position where tag will stick out and give your position away to reds if its too long. I wasnt able to get terp to say that, to admit that yes, this is true, my position was wrong.

Not alot of things i give a shit about when im in vent playing MMOs. One thing i like about MMOs is it gets me to mix and have fun with people that in RL id probably wouldnt be able to stand being around. (Im a hardcore greenpeace commie anti-racist pinkie etc)

The server can be real frustrating if you let it get to you. There things out of your control that if taken the wrong way can ruin your time. Competition is a joke on this server and no amount of skill can change this so it is toxic for a community with big egos on both sides. The ones on the winning side rub it in and the ones on the losing side get bitter, when in reality no skill is involved in this struggle. It is just the nature of the population and the 1-2 people calling the shots in the winning guild.

There is however fun to be had as HB has pointed out. It is still Everquest and there is a lot of content up for grabs on this small population server. There is PvP to be found if you look for it. You can test your skill out in PvP vs other players and even though it won't determine your dominance over raid PvE it is still fun.

Not saying terp is someone like cast or kimm, just that not really fit to lead. You dont try to shout down or bully down people when youre in a leading position. You lay out your argument and discuss it. I mean, one of my favorite tactic to do in WoW, which worked so well that in the end i had 3 rogues dedicated to finding me and killing me before alliance would move in on tarren mills was related to guild tags.

I would wait behind trees for alliance to get close to tarren mills in that field with spiders, and that both sides were lookin at each other, waitin for someone to make a move. Then id get on my horse, run in to the alliance front line, get off my horse and fear the front line.

After a while it was a well oiled machine and me running in with the horse was the cue for hordes to charge alliance and melt faces.

Try to hide behind a small tree, scouting around corners, waiting for the right moment to charge, with a guild tag like ◅Hey check out this long guild tag thats stickin out of corners while youre trying to be sneaky in PVP▻ when you have 50 red eyes looking around for pvp targets.

Terps argument to support that guild tags didnt matter was "Youre dumb"

I dont agree. In the heat of the moment, during combat, i will respect leader authority because its needed for coordination. Its like when youre playing eve online and the fleet leader makes a call. Even if you disagree with the call, you need to go with it because it will fuck up everything if everyone starts doing their own thing. Im used to that, running in a 70 players fleet and seeing that fleet move in unison because every single player understands the need for coordination is amazing. You dissect fleet leader decisions after the fact and its a needed thing.

But "back at the base" if youre throwing your weight around for every little thing like you need to be blindly followed, and youre not interested in your crews output, youre not fit to lead, in my book. It makes you a plain bad player as well, if youre not interested in always improving your game with the feedback you get on how you lead things. Thats how i viewed Terp when he gave me this "youre dumb" bullshit, that he was being bad at the game.
