Today people on Red 99 were able to access characters that were banned. These characters were not unbanned, and a server restart fixed the error. Banned accounts are no longer accessible on Red. These accounts being able to be accessed was not intended.

A number of items were moved off of the banned characters. Most of these items have been tracked down, and I am in the process of locating the rest. All accounts involved in a transfer of these items have been locked down to ensure they stay where they are.

These items, one way or another, will be removed from the server. If your account is currently banned, it is likely you had your hands on one of these items at one point or another during the course of the day.

If you are in possession of an item that was removed from a banned account or that you suspect may have been removed from a banned account, please contact me directly. I will find you, so it's best to let me know ahead of time. The excessive transfer of items through trades or drops of an item that was traded off a banned account from this point forward will be regarded as fraudulent action against the Project 1999 Staff, and you will be banned permanently.

I didn't really trust that was what had happened and I asked a friend to hold the gear for me just in case. My friend doesn't even have a forum account but I will encourage him to petition with the locations of all the items now that we have a formal statement made about the event.

Everyday that I wake up I log into norrath, do a /who all tunak, and then let out a sigh of relief when I see that white text; I know immediately after norrath is safe from that thieving scumbag.

Of course when I saw someone else that was banned for the same event that got me banned, I went to check my info. Voila, I was unbanned. I told everyone about it because I thought that the GM's had finally freed my character.

The character was sitting at approx 90 mr and 80 fr and a shit mana pool. Hardly something to go around PvPing with when I have my cleric/warrior/access to an epic BiS druid. I asked for help transfering everything off of it and leaving it to be a buff+pl character.

I spent the majority of the day consolidating items from all of my characters banks onto a single trade character, not just the freshly unbanned, so any accusations of stripping it because I knew it was falsely unbanned is just from sourpuss faggots trying to get others banned.

I play this server every day. I don't cheat and I don't break the rules. Obviously getting my other characters banned, and seeing my RL friend get his character banned for helping me move items from banned and unbanned accounts alike is making me bitter and annoyed, especially after the overwhelming feeling of thinking I finally had my character given back then to have it taken away and threatened to have every single one of my characters banned.
