Hey guys, I'm waiting for Corecraft (TBC) to come out and I'm scouring the interwebs for decent servers to check out in the meantime. For clarification, I have played a whole bunch of servers (Rebirth, ED, Scriptcraft [dead], Archangel, Excalibur, Molten, etc.) and watched/read a bunch of reviews. What I'm specifically looking for is:
1x rates (2x would be OK)
No instant max level (preferred but not a dealbreaker)
No pay-to-win (cosmetics are OK)
No major bugs (like Sylvanas swimming in the lake behind Lordaeron *cough* Molten *cough*)
Any suggestions? I was thinking of checking out Dalaran WoW (WotLK), otherwise I would be going back to (Molten [yuck] / Rebirth / ED). I'd prefer TBC but the current servers are all meh.

Doesn't ED fill most of this? Even there wow - one site has a TBC server (archangel).
I also started on molten late last year. played for 1 month and finished all the content on the server including RS 25. Wow is to easy.

Whatever you do, do not join the mist of pandora servers molten has. its the biggest waste of time you will ever experience.

ED / Rebirth meet these criteria which is why I said I might go back to one of them if nobody has any superior alternatives.
Archangel is a buggy, laggy 14x piece of garbage. I had multiple max level characters there and multiple, annoying, game-breaking bugs that do not get fixed.
I completely agree that WoW is Hello Kitty and easy, but I have an itch that must be scratched. I'm playing a Mesmer in GW2 in the meantime and admiring the beautiful artwork.

I had a crack on Rebirth for a while, wasn't bad but the EU hours were very quiet.

Molten Wow is basically the P99 of wow private servers and not in a sense of classic but in a sense of population.
To bad they dont have a classic or tbc server.
What's wrong with ExcaliburTBC? The pvp? They had a vote to change that a while back so it might've changed. And the p2w parts weren't egregious iirc (voting 5x a day for heirlooms and shit isn't a thing)

Feenix/Emerald Dream are great places, Archangel is complete shit idk how people can live with that
Excalicbur is trash so many p2w players unbelievable
I play on Warsong (12x Exp Classic) Alliance.
It goes up to patch 1.12.1 (Naxxaramas).
I tried Emerald Dream (1x exp) for a while, but Warsong is just way more populated. There's ZG and AQ20 pugs pretty much around the clock. MC pugs/gdkps happen a few times a week with AQ40 and BWL gdkps on Saturday. Finding groups for 5 man instances is really easy due to the high population. AV is up most of the day, and WSG is always up.
I recommend it, but then again I'm probably in the minority over here that finds WoW a lot more thought provoking than early EQ. Good thing this is an appropriate thread!

I might have to check out Warsong again. Last time I was there everyone on the server was level 60 and spamming Ironforge trade in Russian. I'll try again...maybe.
For me, population is definitely key. This is why I could play Molten and Archangel (for a while) even with completely ridiculous bugs. Excalibur is OK if you ignore the P2W, but it's hard to do so in TBC (my preferred expansion). Voting gets you 50g every 12 hours so you have no issues with vendors. But I'm looking for basically the P99 of WoW servers, which would probably be ED / Rebirth. Drums of War 1.12.1 isn't my favorite, though.
Still waiting for Corecraft, the Messiah Jesus of TBC servers.

I haven't checked out Valkyrie but I've seen reviews. I may or may not check in.
I checked out Dalaran WoW, pay to win out the rear end and low population. A bit better than Molten in terms of scripting, i.e. it has more stuff that's not completely broken.
I guess my picks and alternates for now are:
Classic: Feenix (Rebirth)
TBC: Corecraft (Excalibur)
WotLK: Molten (nothing)

I might be interested if anyone wants to make new on Molten (wotlk), if anything its a good time killer.
