This is not true, Kung fu is not designed for ring or competitive fighting. Kung fu is designed to kill your opponent as fast as possible. Kung fu usually loses in the ring because its not designed for that. you cant kill your opponent in competitive fighting. I havent killed anybody myself nor do i plan to but its designed for that.

28 seconds into this video the kung fu fighter could have easily just snapped this grappler neck killed him fight over, but again this is a ring match so he simply cannot kill his opponent.

Kung fu is designed to use the most practical methods to kill your opponent as fast as possible. Yes we live in a society that you cant just kill somebody you will be in prison for life, but thats what this art is designed for. and thats the reason lots dont train in it. its a lot more practical to just beat up control or subdue your opponent in real life. the school i went to trained in mostly striking some grappling and 23 different weapons designed for practical everyday use. daggers/swords/spear/scimitar/chainedwhip/ etc

i have no desire to fight in the ring anymore. I have done it a lot for practice back in the day age 16-23 but it was only for some fighting experience. I train kung fu mainly to just better myself and be able to defend myself if it came down to it. I try to avoid fighting at all costs, never the instigator in real life.

but ninjutsu is similar to kung fu in many ways. keep in mind ninjutsu (japan) kung fu (china), they were at war for thousands of years. both arts were designed to kill each other. they didn't stage rings and fight for territory, it was bloody ruthless battles.

the whole "dance thing" is just for form practice. repeat the same technique over and over and over so you can perfect the strength speed and accuracy of strike. throat or nose strikes don't require much force at all to do a lot of damage

you dont know how much power comes with the spin of the hips... from :028 to :039 he had this opportunity. even if he didn't kill him with an attempt to snap his neck, just damaging the neck muscle in it self could render the opponent unable to move. arms and legs wont work if the major neck muscle is damaged.
