Pumped for Dark Souls 2 next month. Haven't played DkS in awhile, kind of want to go in to the new one rusty to get my ass kicked. I do have a Tarkus and Big Hat Logan that are rather good at messing people up.

I need to go pay off my pre-order now that I have some money. I am confused on what I should do though. I pre-ordered the collector's edition, but I really want it for PC. I was supposed to switch it from console to PC if I chose to. My friend I play with is getting it for PS3, but mine is broken and needs a new HDD. So I don't know if I should get it for 360 or switch and wait for PC release... :\

I've been playing off and on since the server went live, in fact before I ever played Dark Souls. Even more, a thread on this forum is what actually made me buy Dark Souls to begin with. An RNF post was going on and on about how people overstate EQ difficulty, etc.. then someone randomly mentioned Dark Souls. I picked it up literally that day and took a break from EQ.

As for DkS 2, I took the week off of work and will probably be marathon streaming it as soon as it downloads from PSN. Most of my regulars will probably be in chat playing along, sharing info, etc.. A few other people in my chat have picked up on my EQ playing as I tend to say "gate out" when I homeward bone.

Interesting. I wonder if I can try and get a new PS3 HDD before it comes out so I can get the PS3 version. I really should have focused on doing this a while ago.

Zwei is awesome. I like to go fast roll with the Zwei sometimes. But any roll it's nice. I also used it on a tank build a bit.

Also recommend the large club and great club! or black knight halberd especially for PvE.

I'd say my favorite weapon is the Halberd and probably handle it the best in PvP. Lot's of people downed by me halberd. It's like some people just aren't used to countering it as much as others and well I was pretty comfortable fighting with it. Even could defeat gankers with it nicely, especially if you can get them in a stunlock and wake up dead angle 2H R2s for the double kill. :D

Bumping thread because Dark Souls has literally sky-rocketed to my top-games-of-all-time list faster than anything ever before.

This game is insane. I'm stuck at Gray Wolf Sif at the moment. Any equipment tips out there?

I'm rockin' a Pike+5 as my weapon, grass crest shield. At first I was using full stone armor, wolf/havel ring combo for the poise and whatnot, but I'm not having much luck with the lack of mobility.

Also, I don't have the eagle shield, but I may try and grab that from blighttown since it offers great physical damage reduction.
