Rogue Backstab is off!

From level 10 to 12 i did 58 damage on a backstab with Serated bone dirk and from 13 and in 14 as i am now its max 54, so i guess its some thing wrong, and yes its on the same mobs willowisps in nk.

Did you have a str buff at 10-12?

How do you know you have actually been hitting for the max? Did you duel a low-armor sitting player and backstab him? At low levels you could easily go through an entire level with never seeing your actual max potential backstab.

I am just saying what i notice, i have not seen a backstab over 54 since i dinged 13, befor that i saw aloot of 58 hits. Idont know if its just bad rng but it is a very consistent bad rng in that case.

And i only had hp buffs both then and now.

Well, bug reports forum is generally not a place for just some random thing that you notice. If you put a parse in here of 100 backstabs from 10-12 where 30% of them were for 58, and then put a parse in here of 100 backstabs from 13-14 where none of them are for 58+, people might think twice about it (but probably not, since it's levels 10-14). But no one is going to take this seriously just because you are posting "what i notice" by watching melee spam over the course of a few low levels.

Not trying to rag on you, it's just that you're not giving anyone much reason to think there is anything wrong (and even if there is something wrong, it isn't a very big thing).

Yea, I just started a rogue and it's unbelievable how variable backstab damage is. I couldn't even begin to guess what my max backstab has been at each level. And I can backstab a level 1 mob for 260, and then backstab a yellow con for 370 a couple hours later in a group. It doesn't seem to follow any sort of normal conventions of regular melee attacks.

O well sorry then i tought this was the place to post about stuff you think is a bug.
But you are right it is not a big thing at this level.
