57 earth vs 51 earth pet

I'm approaching 57 and was wondering how much better the 57 earth is for solo tanking than the 51. Searched everywhere for some better knowledge but all I've found is it hits a little harder and higher level. How good of an improvement is it?

No first hand experience but I imagine his higher level is what makes the difference (easier to hit mobs, more difficult to be hit). I'm curious to see the feedback from our senior mages.

57 earth pet is a lot better.

I've duoed all of crypt with the 57 earth pet. Since he's higher level also, he'll have a better chance of rooting mobs 50+. Plus, you can buy it form a vendor and it's only like 100 mana more.

Nice, thanks. That's what I was hoping to hear. The first tier of 50+ pets are really lackluster. Still use 49 fire a lot solo for efficiency at 55.

you're going to be using 57 earth pet for all of your soloing until epic more or less.
