Saw this thread, game looked interesting, so I gave it a shot.

Installed twice to make it work, got in the game, and there's so much lag that it's pretty much unplayable. I've attempted two sessions now and had to ctrl alt delete my way out both times because the game simply stopped responding to my commands. Not much help or information available on the website.

Made it to the second mission on the tutorial and hit a brick wall. Learned briefly from another player before the game stopped working that I actually need to upgrade my ship before I can complete the second mission, though the tutorial makes no mention of needing to upgrade, nor how to upgrade or where to upgrade. Second tutorial mission is literally 10 minutes into the game and is already holding out on information.

Will attempt one more session and if it's more of the same, will uninstall and look for something else.

Just FYI for anyone else thinking about trying this.

I think that's an issue with you. I have had no issues with lag or crashing thus far.
