Rogean/Sirken/Derubael,

As had been mentioned in a few other threads so far, could you possibly please add a yes/no to your anti-sock thread in the raid discussion?

If BDA, today, had zoned out of LZO or Evac'd to EJ when doing what they were doing, would they be permitted to kill Trak? What about a guild raiding fear and CT/Draco spawns, can they zone out of fear portal, like a reset giving them no advantage and then race for the mob? What about if a guild were clearing hate and Inny spawned, could they collectively "cap" out of Hate to WC and port back up as any other engaging guild would?

This seems reasonable, but I think your opinion would be great.

Thanks,
Me

I think the idea of using WC cap to port out of zone and then having people porting back to Feerrott to zone back in just seems ridiculous.

I could see something like all but 2 random people being forced to zone-in making a lot more sense for zones like Sebilis or being kicked out of zone for places like hate/fear. However, a guild actively porting to WC only to port/run back seems a little silly.

Cap out of Hate not from Fear. Porting up is half the race.

Zone out of Fear via temple.

I'm not suggesting going 10 zones over, I'm saying start from zone in like everyone else.

I was curious why so many high lvl guild groups keep appearing at the WC druid rings?

I thought maybe there was a cake and/or pie vendor there now?

Maybe OP's statement is the reason?

/shrug, a pie/cake vendor would be a lot more exciting.

Because of the Leatherfoot Raiders Skull cap. It's an Easy place for everyone to get to instantly.

back to OP

I think its just best not to be in the zone at all when these bosses are in window, its only 16 hours now....

so for BDA Jugs example, I am sure if they could do over, they would have not practiced their Trak 'firedrill' during his window if they were planning on attempting him

so I dont think you can simply say "yea Evacing to EJ makes it legit!" or

"had they zoned out and back in it would be ok"

either of those may be the case but the bottom line is that guilds need to not be 'raiding' in these zones during the 16 hour window raid targets pop in now...

If they have any intentions of engaging the target.

so with the 1-1-1 plan added with the Class R rotation it is going to be business as usual most of the time. Just know where you stand

Yeah, I'm looking for clarity from Rogean.

I think the worst zone is KC. It seems crazy I can't XP on a toon in LCY because VS is in window. I'm not raiding or with a raid force near the spawn point. As Rogean said in his ban post it was more than 6 people in close proximity. So it seems reasonable for individuals to be xping in the zone without hindering their guilds raid eligibility.

It's a really fine line to walk though.

I guess the question you should ask yourself is: would I even be here right now if there wasn't a mob in window?

I'm personally just not going to even mess with it.

I'm just glad there are no raid mobs in guk, right? :p

Catherin is the only raid mob in LGuk! I hear she drops really nice loot too.

More rules mean more clarification which means more rules which means more clarification which means more rules which means more clarification which means more rules which means more clarification....

until no fun is left. slippery slope people, we're already over half way there with this new agreement. You really thought this was going to end petitions and CSR involvement? rofl. Conflict will always be there. We shook up the raid scene so much that anything outside of VP is just boring as hell now. Many tried to stop it, but the carebear99ers continued crying for their free pixels. And let me be more clear, it was only for pixels, whatever white-knight will say otherwise. They just went the lawyery-douche route to get their pixels effort-free instead of participating within the framework of the server rules. Now you got what you want, a super nit-picky lame as hell end game on this server.

Yeah, I'd have to buy gate pots off a vendor instead of having to run to town from WC every time I want to recharge my cap :p

I think zoning out and/or evacing to zone in would be fair for Seb. For PoFear zoning out or porting to CT/Feerott would seem fair. For Hate... I dunno... go back to zonein? KC should go to zonein if you are in a guild group, but if its just like 1-2 of you I think that would be fine (obviously its not a poopsock). Are there any others that come into play? Skyfire?

We were told we could precamp at Seb bubble in TT as the closest point, which would make evacing to zone-in not equal... but that's kind of picking nits.

Could be like football, where if you step out of bounds you are ineligible, but why put all these zones off limits just because a mob is in window... we come here to play not sit at character select.

In my understanding if you have a raid force or a large force in a zone when a mob spawns, you're out of luck. This violates the spirit of the new rules of no socking. If it is a Simrepop you have 2 mins to know and get the hell out. If you are still there and it pops, you don't have the chance at it. Pick up and mob somewhere else. This isn't saying having a group in seb is breaking the rules, or having a few people in Karnors exping is wrong.

As for fear/hate I would take it the same way. The windows are now much shorter for them to spawn in. You take the risk of being in the zone when it does pop. Is that 5% drop rate on precious carmine sleeves worth being there over a cazic? If the answer is yes, then it's all you. If no, then you can plan accordingly.

I would say telling people they can evac out/gate out to race for it would cause just as much of an issue. Knowing how everyone plays on this server, half would camp out in a safe spot for an advantage while having less essential persons gate/port out to "Race".

This is from what I understand how the staff wants to handle things.

He makes some good points. You know and I know someone is going to screw up unknowingly and have the Guilds ass in a sling. And if that happens a few times people are going to be pissed as hell. I know at times it is ONLY a 16 hour wait but not being able to go to Seb or KC is pretty much a bummer I think. Ohh there may be 3 or 4 of us in there, a Raid Group forming crap. Yeah that ought to really work out in the long run. NOT. :(

the rules clearly state you must zone in zone out do the hokey pokey turn yourself around, that is what proper raid etiquette is all about
