Keep quiet about everything known from the game, so the mysterious feeling of EverQuest that gave its Immersion is still kept within the players

The same exact thing would happen again.
I would spend about a year leveling up a Wood Elf Ranger to ~22, then my mom would stop paying for it and I would be forced to go outside and do sports things and other real-life activities with actual, alive, present human beings.

Took me months to level a bard to 35, then got sick of dying in Lower Guk from song aggro and decided to keep hopping to new servers they put up (Lanys, Luclin, Tholuxe, Antonius Bayle (EU), Kane Bayle (EU), Venril Sathir (EU) :D)
...wasted so much time playing every class to 15 or something :p

Thisx100,000,000. All classes to 12-15, Bard to 29, Rogue to 23. Nothing could change.

I'd be lovingly arguing with my IT manager dad.. Yes, Everquest will last forever! Really, it will. Nothing will replace it! :) I never will forget the day when he first told me about a cool and upcoming game.
I'd also be showing my little sis how to play.
Sigh... Days gone by.

I'd 2 box invis pull fungi tunics and pee into bottles 24/7 until they nerfed it. Then I'd RMT the money and invest in WoW. Then I'd hire hot female maids with steady hands to shave my balls and massage my feet all day.

Wouldn't have made a SK for a main, that's for sure. If I found my original 1999 self I'd smack me and tell me to re-roll.

With my 1999 knowledge I would:
Get lost under Kelethin for hours at a time.
Make phat lewts off of unlooted Orc centurion's in Crushbone.
Get lost in Gfay and stumble on wizard spires.
Learn to stay on the paths.
Gasp at the sheer size of the carved Kaladim entrance.
Fish, spilling beer on me, and seeing a giant boat pull up to docks.
Fall off said boat in OOT.
Swim for 2 hours until I drowned.
Learn to use a canoe.
Get lost in Freeport, it was a freaking maze.
Get stuck in the tunnel gasping at plate armor.
Find Oasis.
Transfer server to join friends who couldn't figure out how to join my server.
With my knowledge now:
I would love to get guise of deceiver and rubicite!

Level enc to 34, quickly.
Make hundreds of thousands of plat off of jewelry, especially knowing that Genni on the block sells fire opals for 550gp.
...
...
...
I lived for the EC tunnel then, don't know what would really change. My highest level was a 34 druid when Velious hit. 52 monk when luclin came out, 65 war in PoP.

With my 1999 knowledge I would of,
Not started out as an erudite in a extremely dark forest, Killing just one mob and making it back to the guards without getting lost into the woods was a massive accomplishment.
Don't ever consent anyone cause 50% of the time you would find your corpse with everything looted from it.

Wait a minute, you had this experience, TOO???????????????? But this is how memories are made. Never trade it in a million years. I remember not knowing how to SWIM and drowning in the river a dozen times until this wood elf named Ludic taught me how to use up/down.

Same here, but on every new server that came out. Started 8/99, Half Elf Ranger.
Highest I ever got was around 25 till I joined a guild on 2003.

Would have been more prepared for a wizard named Linnett on Vallon Zek. Bastard would hunt me across zones for some reason and always steal my hard earned bronze gear on my pally! Guy ruined my life in unrest for about the first 3-4 months i played lol...
Other than that, I would definitely NOT have played a paladin. Would have played a class to farm rare drops and retired at the age of 20 from all of my ebay cash!
Was buddies with twelve prophets on VZ and they made stupid cash back in the day...i was never lucky enough to get any decent drops in groups though! Must have lost the roll on 10-20 fungis before i gave up and started a new toon that didn't fail so hard!

How do you rule Norrath?
Buy a couple extra phone lines (or ISDN), multi-box. Farm (whatever soon to be removed item available) non-stop while abusing whatever jewel craft related platinum exploits (where you can sell for more than ya buy) via macro programs on multiple accounts.
Make a monk and a druid account, power level accounts to 50+ for classes that are in demand.
RMT to holy hell on ebay as much as possible.
Invest in mutual funds/target date funds (I don't know what is going to hit big, but investing is smart).
Get out of the market in 2007 cause I'm not too dumb to not realize what's about to happen. Get back into the market in late 2008 cause I see a huge opportunity.
Retire.

I'd invest a lot more time into RZ, working on a twink to terrorize the newbies. On VZ I think I'd really play up being a pacifistic dark elf and try to join lighty guilds.
And when SZ released, I'd like to play good team there for the first little bit when it was fun :P
