Dear Pals - Old and New

My decision for leaving Red Dawn was not based on Pixels or Pals. I asked Nizzar a long time ago if I could join the Resistance and get some competition brewing. He respectfully declined my request. Shortly after I found myself very bored with no competition on raids. Just in the nick of time, Kaylea and Tehruoh rejoined Nihilum. I have no problems with either person but I do like to mess with people as all of you know. I may of messed with them a bit to much and they killed Twainz on a raid, which really did upset me. I took that opportunity to rage and get suspended from Nihium for a week. I took this opportunity to help the resistance as much as I could. We contested, we took dragons, lot of pvp happened. Nihilum over recruited to fight this force we had. Red Dawn formed and recruited the whole server. Now here is me in the middle liking people on both sides and disliking a few on both sides. I typically give people the benefit of the doubt so I try to steer clear of outrageous claims about people stealing or hacking or w/e. The reason I want to be with Nihilum again is simple, I want to be in an elite group of people competing, not just a 75 man zerg. I came here to play classic Everquest, not Zergquest. I don't think this is Heartbrand's fault for recruiting so much. That is the only way to really win against an elite core like Nihilum without something like simulated patch days or variance.

In the end I hope we can all get along as mature adults in a game we all know and love. Sure we all enjoy a little trolling and competition, but there is no reason for RL attacks or stripping or stealing or hacking or boxing. Lets all follow the rules and be decent human beings enjoying a FREE classic Everquest box. Being on both sides I know who abuses these things. Lets all clean up our acts and have some fun.

I said gratz. Didn't troll or anything. I want there to be competition. I think Red Dawn has a good chance with what they have. Once people get leveled up and get more spells/gear it will be a tough force to fight and I accept that. I just know which side I want to be on, its the same side I have always been on. I didn't spend the first year of my time here in Nihilum for nothing. I just want it to be more respectable competition. The PnP has caused more griefing and shit talking than ever before. Its pretty sick how much people talk shit to each other now. I'm honestly kind of turned off by the server right now.

That's exactly what the issue is on this server, the fact that you're not allowed to 2 box and having a population of around 100-150 is forcing people (me included) to guild with people i don't want to guild with.

If 2 boxing was allowed i could go with pals, around 10-12 people are enough to do great things if you're cordinated. But since boxing (even though classic) is a terrible crime and should be punished by death, we cannot have nice things

I wouldn't wanna change anything now tho, Red Dawn is far from stable but it's the brightest thing i've seen on red99 since holocaust was fighting nihilum, if topjew can keep it together for about 2-3 months more, we might have something real stable here.

As soon as Twainz told me the story about how he left blue and went straight to PDM (on live), I knew underdog wasnt for him. There are people who will always join the winning side. It's just some peoples playstyles. I on the other hand will always be on the losing side. I get no enjoyment out of a game when I am not on the bottom of the food chain. It makes kills that much better. Shits classic for me.

If you are going to compete with a crew that has been around for 2 years farming stuff uncontested it has to be with more numbers. If RD gets to the point where they have as many level 60's geared out as Nihilum does RD will keep it interesting one way or another. RD has made this server 10x more fun than it was before. Not sure why there is so much hate. There are so many more people on the server for others to PvP, do trades with, level up with.

Raids are available to everyone, not just people that can raid at 6 am in the morning.

I understand a troll when I see one. I don't think Chewie really believes what he writes on here. With his play style, having multiple leveling groups every night that he can go PvP with is great for him. For everyone else that talks trash on RD, they are just ignorant or upset that something is disrupting uncontested PvE.

PnP is a vision that Everquest developers have had since day 1. The GMs on here tried to implement it with their own system and failed. They already admitted that it needs to be tweaked. No one wants whinny bitches abusing rules to hurt fun PvP. There are people all over the server that do it, not just RD. It just so happens 90% of the level 40-55 population is in RD, and they are the ones griefed the most. There are people that get griefed in that range that don't complain about it 1 bit. Good people all around and eventually we will have a better system.

If you actually care about having a better server and someone is abusing the system in RD you really can message HB about it and he will deal with it. It is better than having some whinny bitch in another guild or guildless that isn't held accountable for his actions.

The mentality of Twainz is why people hated Nihilum for 2 years. The server saw newcomers join the box and take the path of least resistance so they could get the best pixels. The last thing on their mind was pvp, competition, leadership with values, friendship, etc. Of course gaining some sort of ties or friendship is inevitable after raiding for 2 years but that isn't the reason they joined in the first place. Because of this mentality of any person interested in PvE going straight to Nihilum, the server hurt and the population hit all time lows.

Twainz was one of these hundreds of players that have come and gone since 3 months into server launch and now his excuse is he wants to be apart of an elite group. Nihilum just became "elite" about a month ago when a new force rose up to compete. Before that Dentists, Azrael, etc. have been the elite groups fighting against the zerg of Nihilum and he never showed interest in those guilds.

So when Stasis trained the first 6 mobs in Sebilis to me and I told HB he ignored me. Telling HB will only work if its someone he doesn't like. If Juggzmcgee did this he would probably boot him. Not Stasis though, Stasis would be hard to lose.

The Resistance is hell bent on trying to grief me via ooc. It doesn't really bother me but it just proves my point that the people in Nihilum are generally nicer people than the zerg of assholes in Red Dawn/Azrael.
