This was Holocausts argument when it got a guild ban for exploiting Naggy once and Nihilum getting off free after weeks and weeks of doing it.

Elderan I believe there is a very thin line between genius and insanity. I think you oscillate between this line and so I have a hard time determining whether you are trolling or not. Hard to read individual (or truely disturbed), you are. Reinstate the leaderboard man, best thing you or Nilly ever done for the server imo was host it. Even if it was tainted at times it was great for quick lulz.

Back to topic, I'd say its pretty easy to determine if rules are broken or not. If everyone stepped back a little from the keyboard, things would be pretty black and white. This will most likely be the last successful classic eq emu server so ya'll need to take care of it and its population.

Edit: Not sure who the bluebie above me is but they better recognize before I embarrass them real good in game.

First, I don't belong to any group/clique on the server. I've always done my own thing on my own terms. I fought for teams before it was cool. Helped the server out when times were dark. Wrote all the staff a TLDR PM about getting global ooc (when server was dead) and XP bonus instated. Whether it's coincidence or not, a day after I messaged Rogean, Nilbog, ect about the state of Red99 and the need for an xp boost it was announced there would be one. I am actually for item loot, for 4 level range, for legal training, and hella against variance. The server is more than just Nilly and not Nilly (btw I am the one who started called Nihilum Nilly, no troll.) so pull your head out of your ass.

If it were up to me this server would be wiped and a new Sullon Zek ruleset server would replace it. I am just sick of people complaining about being banned for breaking the rules. I remember this guy I once knew got a DUI. This guy blamed everything and everyone but himself as to why he was charged. From the cop being corrupt to he had chewed gum that night and it caused him to blow a higher alcohol level than he really was. He had a million excuses as to why he shouldnt have been charged except for not drinking and driving that night. You can't blame the petitioner or the GM for your ass breaking the rules and getting the hammer. Consequences for doing the wrong thing shouldn't be new to any of you unless some of you are truely man babies.

I cant stress this enough. Someone with a garbage Kill death ratio can't continue to yield 3 points or whatever, in the same way as someone with a pristine record.

naw but you get my point. This is a free server where someone can make unlimited amount of characters/accounts. Perma ban is pretty much the only way you can hurt someone around here. Even permabanning multiple level 60 toons with close to BIS doesnt stop most of you people from having another level 60s in a couple of weeks.

For the most part, the leaderboard was a better representation of what was happening on the server than the forums were. I am a numbers man as well and numbers don't lie (although sometimes they did disappear :))

The Nihilum that exists today is and was nothing like the Nihilum from over two years ago when this happened.

Stop with the excuses. If Nihilum was banned it would not have changed the outcome as we would have simply regrouped and continued on.

While on one hand I understand the argument that real winners would have moved on and started to win instead of complain for 2 years, I also understand the bitter injustice that took place when one guild was allowed to exploit something numerous times and gear up significantly, and the other guild was punished immediately and got nothing when the same tactic was utilized. I don't know that I would be willing to dedicate the intense butt hours needed to try to be number 1 if that happened to me, and my competition had a huge leg up because of their use of exploits that resulted in a temp ban for me and my guild.

Its too bad this happened, a lot of mistakes were made at the beginning of this server which gave it a shameful beginning but we are trying to make the best of it now.

The new PNP seems kind of ridiculous. The threads in the PVP forum begging mommy and daddy to ban opponents honestly makes me sick. Boxxing and MQing and running RMT ring deserves permaban with wall of shame, but most of this whining is just absurd.
