I am leveling up a rogue atm and I figured Nro or Black Burrow would be a great place to use this thing at. Anyone have any suggestions?

I'd probably say Black Burrow. Farm teeth so when you hit the point where the mobs green out you can then turn em in for a bunch more xp.

I think yard trash in unrest is the best place. give it a glowing helbard and go to town

Give your pet a Wu's Quivering Staff and go nuts in Kurn's. No damage cap for pets :)
Unrest is terrible, too easy to get swarmed, trained or something else wasting your pet.
Otherwise for slower but safer exp, NRo is decent enough. Nice mob level gradient, guards to run to and plenty of spots to safely sit if you want to take a break and afk. I got my wizard to 15 in NRo in about 5 hours. I could have gotten a couple more levels there, but I mismanaged the pet.
Also, when you're playing your rogue, whatever you do, don't hide.

What item is this? I don't see it on the wiki anywhere, even if I spell halberd correctly :p

I'd assume he is referring to Shiny Brass Halberd from Highpass.
Sadly we don't have classic pet weapons functioning like Weighted Axe. And they refuse to go classic because "OP", yet we are in our 3rd year of 20s Donals.

Except weighted axe was always classified as not pet equipable.

Except no. It was classified as no pet (along with the Chardok shaman slow stick) several years after Kunark. Plenty of 2000-2001 evidence supports this:

Enchanter, Necromancer, Magician, and Shadow Knight pets would use a 150 delay weapon, since the dagger "nerf" made it so weapon delay has no effect on the pet's attack speed. Don't you just love seeing your pet quadding for 91 each at 25 delay?

While a 45-damage weapon on a pet would be insane, there ARE a plethora of 30-damage weapons that cost less than 1k each that you can use for similar effect.

Glowing / Shiny Brass are somewhat different. I guess glowing and shining are synonymous... But Shiny Brass Halberd isn't that common of a weapon for it to be widely known like say... lamentation or T staff.

Do you even know what autism is?
You're statement makes about as much sense as telling him he's the most asthmatic.

Post is wrong. I always gave my low level nec/mage alt pets big damage 2 handers since 99. They specifically flagged this and several other weapons as not pet usable because the damage was crazy on them (while the delay was high enough to make them not valuable). I think there's a brad or abashi post on it sometime during early Kurnak. I also tried personally. Here's a post countering it.

Your post is July. Mine was February.
So in that 5 month span, it may have been nerfed. It certainly was at some point in time cause that's how it is on live. But during Kunark this was doable. Into early Velious infact.

If it did last until Velious, I'd be happy to have it back in. Would make leveling a necro go really quick.

Can a pet use Throneblade of the Ykesha (http://wiki.project1999.com/Throneblade_of_the_Ykesha)?

Probably but weighted axe is way more fun. I distinctly remember exp groups in FM and BW being awesome because they made pets own face.

http://wiki.project1999.com/Firerune_Brand is another option. I think it even procs at lvl 1 (even tho the wiki says 30).

I filed a bug report on the Weighted Axe not functioning 3 years ago, sadly still no fix:

Not sure there are many mobs over 15 in Nro.
think there are more of them in sro....mostly undead.
Depending on race, upper guk crocs are an option.....boring but safe.....assuming you stay dubious to frogs/spiders. VERY high zem...

Kind of the reason I said Blackburrow was because you can go from 14-19 or so off the farmed teeth once the mobs eventually green out. Keep in mind this is only a lvl 12 pet, so it will be doing less and less of the heavy lifting once you're up to about level 10 and instead will be more of a high-damage DoT. And as a rogue he won't have any ability to heal/buff it and won't be able to leave the zone to train backstab @ 10 (not that he'd have much opportunity to use it since the pet won't tank for him anyways).

it can solo a caiman, so oasis may be good.

I have a fungi that I am using right now so heals aren't really an issue.

When I put the Wu's staff on my pet, he was quickly doubling 47's, nuking for 12 with a damage shield of 12. He was a low level mob blender.
The pet's level varies, so hopefully you get a good one.

I farmed Blackburrow fangs until I had about 300. I was still getting exp for gnolls, but only the elites and they were a little hard to kill but not too hard. I ended up being 15 by the end of that farm and then I turned them in and got level 22 and a half. Was able to go to Mistmoore after that, or do some stuff in OOT.

Oasis pretty good aye.
I would say the Oasis is the best place if you stay past the dock and do croc's on the shore when the zone is somewhat empty. They are almost endless it seems and they re-spawn pretty fast. Crap loot. The croc's are not sociable, other than Lockjaw who is rare as hell, and range from low to high XP wise.
Don't do it if some Druid is kiting Giants in there. Not good.

So far BB has been absolutely amazing. I especially play reallllly late, Like 2-7 am late and at those times BB only has me and less than 5 others so it's been amazing xp. I used my brazier already but I am about to farm a couple more on my paladin. I just send in the pet and move in if he takes 60% or more damage and with this fungi it's no contest. I was level 4 and taking on those elites. Brazier is the ultimate weapon for flying through 1-15. I got to level 9 before I fucked up and got him killed.
