It is in the logs, 4 of those kills that Count Elderan is so proud of were on me trying to LNS my corpse from DL (then BW after I zoned through and died to DoTs). It is trivial for the GMs to check the server logs, see me shout LNS, send tells to the people attacking me, say "LNS" in say, and still get killed by Nihilum folks who themselves were supposed to scoot from zone.

It just depends on whether the GMs want to enforce their policy or not. Regardless of Nihilum's asshats, Red Dawn will continue to follow PNP policy.

I was swimming through the room and some player hit me with a quick spell that broke invisibility. That caused the sea horses to attack me. I then ran over to your group and engaged you with Player versus Player combat (legitimate PVP) and died valiantly casting a life tap. Zade warned me about traveling close to mobs and then I was allowed to loot and scoot.

Disagree. Tune and friends not only YT people running back to SolB naked, they did it 2-3 times with GM's watching. We had not even finished the fight and they were eating bans. Anytime there is a mass PVP event expect the GM's to be watching. They tend to notice when suddenly 130 people hit the same zone. Its probably easier for them to sit down and watch the event and enjoy the pvp, then to go through all the mess of screen shots and petitionquesting afterwards.

That being said, people who just arbitrarily kill naked characters running back in, not only should be banned for being douche-nuggets but add another 7 days on for simple bafoonery. Its really not that hard to understand and the idea that you are immune to said bans should buy ya a 2nd 7 days.

wow nihilum killed 74/75 people? If I recall we had a handfull of people plug near the end.. so you killed some 20-25 people 2 times over?

I personally counted 62 kills against red dawn, in the end there I was zoning back and forth from bw/dl sometimes accidentally or to bum pumices off someone so I may have missed a few YT's. I have not yet counted red dawn kills. In the beginning red dawn did get like 5-6 kills the first 2 mins of the battle but that was mostly azrael/deluxee assist pell trains.

It's likely that you saw Dango doing that after he was being attacked on LnS.

The whole ordeal just devolves into "fight fire with fire," so when one side commits one grievance, it's met with the same treatment, and then the chain reaction, and the downward spiral, and so on.

These rules are gonna feel shitty on both sides at different times in the future. It's really in everyone's best interest to come together on some server wide behavioral standards in PvP.

I was under the impression (from the Nagafen fight) and thought that GMs were pretty clear on their ruling about players dying in mass PvP, that the dead people needed to stay away from zones close to the battle (as in, "once you're dead, you're done until it's all over with").

All of Red Dawn treated this Dreadlands fight that way (hence Red Dawn being morbidly surprised to find Nihilum claiming zone control of DL, which, in turn, gave them all the validation they needed to res all their dead "legally" and continue fighting over and over and over. That fundamental difference in how each guild interpreted and followed server rules is what fucked us.

You cannot zone back and forth from BW to DL while fighting in BW after LNS to get heals from clerics on LNS medding in DL. Had we known that Nihilum would so brazenly violate the LNS, we would have never left DL.

Count Elderan fails. Suspensions handed out. Nihilum's new plan is to have 14 level 60 alts with VP gear for each player so they can be suspended once per day. VERY CRAFTY INDEED.

Here is where your ignorance betrays you. When we die in PvP, we have LNS. Your "logs" will clearly show us shouting LNS upon entering DL. They will also show Nihilum killing us over and over to try to prevent us from getting to BW to join the fight there. Killing nakeds in violation of the PNP got you suspensions. It inflated your kill count (which you actually have the nerve to brag about). I know I zoned through to BW after trying to LNS from DL, loaded up with DoTs and died in BW. The server logs show this as well.

Your "logs" will not show (unless you doctor them to do so) Red Dawn killing Nihilum on LNS even though they were casting heals/buffs/etc instead of scooting.

Going back and forth on what every action each player did, such a Shipit, is a joke in itself. The only people with proper logs to do something as tedious as this are the GMs. Seeing as though the YT was much in favor of RD in the beginning and not towards the end is a clue though.


None of those people listed did any pvp/buffs in DL after they died. They might have come back and got their corpses and went to BW but that is a different zone and allowed per the rules.

Half the time was spent trying to figure out who was on LNS and was still actually in the zone to pvp.

If we are going to stick with this LNS where people cannot re enter the fight then we need to say that you cannot enter the zone or zones connecting until the fight is over. If you do and someone kills you then you will be suspended not the person killing you. This would at least help a lot.

Shipit was bound in DL.. He died. He went back to his corpse on LNS. He cast NO spells, or touched anyone and was looting his corpse when he was killed doing so. This happened to him TWICE.

The simple fact of the matter is that it is nearly impossible for both sides not to break the rules in a 120 person PVP encounter. I was in our TS and 90% of the discussion was about who can and can't be killed. I can assure you that there was not a single person intentionally breaking LNS rules. In fact Nizzar called for SoWing/healing and rezzing RD dead near the end after HB had thrown in the towel.

Just for one moment stop trying to look at this as a way to get Nihilum members banned and start looking at it objectively. Can you honestly say that you think the PNP rules being applied during the fight added to the enjoyment of the battle? Absolutely nothing changes from a griefing standpoint if LNS is granted after the engagement is over instead of mid fight. Everyone gets their corpses, nobody gets CC'd, and most importantly the TS on both sides isn't 90% discussion on who you can even target.

The fact that you're on here trying to lawyer Nihilum bans instead of discussing the actual PVP is proof enough for me what your strategy is. I've always been a clean whistled white knight in shining armor. Since day 1 on server I've ported nakeds of other guilds to CR themselves and I've PLED and rezzed other guilds and "enemies" after pvp

The tone is getting way out of control. Red Dawn won ONE fight. During this fight the GMs made some calls. They weren't because of fraps or our petitions. If you disagree with those decisions then petition them. Red Dawn didn't write the PNP, I didn't fraps your players, etc. Nihilum still gets the majority of mobs and there's still a huge gap that will take months to close, if ever. Nihilum isn't dead, the server isn't imploding, there will be tons of more pvp in the future.

All you've proved is your lack of comprehension of the current server environment. there is a reason RD isn't eating the bans/suspensions that nihilum does...they are not breaking the rules nearly as much. you fail to understand that or admit that, so "debating" with you is a lost cause. you can sit on here and post all your rhetoric about what's going on in both guilds, but the FACT is several of the most active nihilum leaders currently have characters BANNED because they broke the rules. Enjoy your work day I'm sure you won't be posting again because this still doesn't make sense to you...

Here is what I can tell you about the mass pvp in dreadlands. It was fun. Lokii I just want to say thanks for the help with the forest giant monacle, you're alright. Maverix was pangaea I believe. I couldn't be happier that I got him. I almost took down Andis. I blew my disc for him, but it wasn't my destiny.

I want to thank everyone in Red Dawn for allowing me to push through 73 people with hardly a scratch. I wish I could have heard the team speak. Plugging into burning woods before the main engagement really helped me out a lot.

Is it so difficult for you to understand that I am debating the merits of some of the PNP rules as they apply to mass PVP? Nothing you just posted means anything. I don't care how many people have been banned. You're so blinded by banlust you can't even consider for one second that the some of these rules simply make the game less fun for everyone.

It's pretty obvious what the RD strategy is. Create multiple threads about how great PNP is, say the server is thriving because of it, and most importantly shit up/troll every thread that contains constructive criticism of anything to do with the PNP rules. The fact that you have yet to make a single comment in 10+ posts in this thread about the PNP questions I've raised, and instead choose to repeatedly insult my intelligence and taunt people about Nihilum bans just further proves this.

Either debate the topic or gtfo.
