I have 2 major issues-- 1, where to adventure. Everyone says COM or Gukbottom, but Ive been there 2 days, and still no groupage-- too many people vying for so few camps.
Seems I'm too high for things I'm comfortable with, such as FM Gaints, and too low for the new areas I'm not quite familiar with.

The other issue is that my jarasth scale armor isn't really cutting it anymore. I camped rotting jarsath from a low level per advice form an old friend-- still using a lot of it at 40, and a lot of the stats are wasted I feel.

My gear setup is

Skull-shaped Barbute
Sarnak Hide Mask
2x Sapphire Electrum (4 str 2 int) earrings,
Jarsath Scale Chestplate,
Sebilite Scale Neckguard,
Jarsath Scale Arms,
Kunzar Cloak,
Purity Belt,
Crested Spaulders,
Hero Bracer,
Silver Plated Bracer,
Jarsath Scale Leggings, Gauntlets, and Boots.
2x Platinum Fire wedding rings
Noctivagant Blade,
Crested Mistmoore Shield
Skorpikis Claw impaler

NOw, I feel despite it's ggreat AC / Weight ratio, I have outgrown my jarsath.. even the best piece has just +stam/ac, usually containing a stat I find no use for.. wis, cha, agi etc.

Ive sort of formulated a gameplan, just involves getting the gold to buy certain piece, I would like input as to whether or not it's a good plan!

First, I intend to replace all Jarasth scale with Sebilite Scale, save for the Breastplate and Leggings in which case I want to get Darkfroge BP. (That's Boots, Gloves, Vampbraces)

My kunzar cloak could use an upgrade to Seb Scale, I beleive. My +35 HP, 13 AC Helmet may be better off replace with a +INT/+STR headguard from the Seb scale Lineup

For my shield, I know BIS is atramentous shield, but I feel 5k is a bit unrealistic at the moment (Presently I have about 100 actual plat, thousands of plat worth of gear-- WR bags, noct blade etc), being that I'm broke as a joke--- so I am actually thinking it may be more viable to actually wait for someone to down the mob in kithicor that drops the +100 HP, +25 AC +10 Stam shield?

I assume because you went DE your str and stam are on the low end so these are some suggestions.

Well for your cloak I would always suggest http://wiki.project1999.com/Hooded_Black_Cloak

Earring would be better to have http://wiki.project1999.com/Diamondine_Earring

I may suggest going for http://wiki.project1999.com/Tree_Weave as a different chest piece. If you picked Innoruuk you could get http://wiki.project1999.com/Teir%60Dal_Adamantite_Breastplate_%28Imbued%29 but it is expensive should last you for a long time or you could get http://wiki.project1999.com/Teir%60Dal_Adamantite_Breastplate_%28Enchanted%29 if you did not.

Your vambraces are not bad already and neck is one of those hard to replace things for SK mine has just a resist one as I am trying to save for http://wiki.project1999.com/Black_Sapphire_Platinum_Necklace

Sorry no suggestion that would be easy to obtain on your belt If you could get a group and more lvls obviously http://wiki.project1999.com/Flowing_Black_Silk_Sash would be big help Or if you have a ranger or druid buddy with time on to spare http://wiki.project1999.com/Hangman%27s_Noose

Your crested shoulders are fine and your hero bracer, I would suggest replacing the other one with http://wiki.project1999.com/Granite_Bracer It is a soloable mob with fear kitting in some lvls I would almost suggestion replacing the hero one as well when you can get two of them.

The Jarsath Scale Boots can be kept for now.

Jarsath Scale Leggings and Jarsath Scale Gloves both can go I would suggest http://wiki.project1999.com/Iksar_Scaled_Gloves the guy who drops it also drops earrings that are the same as diamondine. Also maybe http://wiki.project1999.com/Darkforge_Greaves maybe http://wiki.project1999.com/Mithril_Greaves if you can get the money depends on your str, stam and hp.

For a different shield you could always get http://wiki.project1999.com/Cracked_Darkwood_Shield not sure about http://wiki.project1999.com/Ashenbone_Shield if it does drop always like it says I am sure you can hang around the zone and wait for someone to do there epic and have to kill him.

That is my look on it, I know some of it is out of reach but you can work on the pieces that you can do and then switch to the harder ones as you lvl.

The lack of groupage was a problem for my SK as well when i was leveling. What i did was a combo of CoM and sol b. but the twist is you gotta hustle boss.

See a camp open? Call it and immediately start finding people to add to your group.

1) /who lfg
2) /who all 35 45 cleric (or shaman/druid)
3) 2) /who all 35 45 enchanter

Put your own groups together and itll pay dividends beacuse those people WILL remember you if they are looking to fill a tank spot later. Also, friend those people for quick additions to your group on later group assembling. I found the easiest place to work with was sol b. Close proximity to EC to pull players from there, as well as royals & window often being open.

Warning, do not be disheartened. These groups will fail sometimes when someone says they are coming and 30 minutes later they still havent arrived. You and the 1 person you lured there may sit idly for a while. At least you tried versus sitting around waiting to be invited somewhere.

I will concede it was a bit rough, but you can do it if you put some work into it. And like i said, after a week or two of doing this, people will remember your name and if you tank as well as you put groups together you will get invites all the time.

- Anakarias (DE GraveLord)

p.s. worst comes to worst, fear kite while waiting for a group. its a bit mundane and a bit harrowing at times. viable options are like you mentioned FM, but also DL yeti's. once you get to 46, acquire some BE boots and gloves for mana free fear kiting in emergencies (still use your normal spells if you can as they are vastly superior. you are a DE, we are practically plate necromancers with dope amounts of mana)

Your gear is fine. You need to fear kite when soloing. Try the yeti cave in dreadlands. I imagine you can do spectres soon if not now (feerrott, oasis). Soon fear kite along north wall of kc in dreadlands.

Dreadlands to 47 or so, then kill goblins in LOIO to 51, then find a shaman to duo with in CoM 2nd floor to 55, then duo with a shaman in HS to 60

Profit

Frontier Mountains zone line tunnel to burning woods. mobs wander by it that are still dark blue to you at 40. you can fear kit them in tunnel as long you pull them clean in through the tunnel mouth otherwise they will bug and you wont be able to hit them but they will be able to hit you from ceiling. The giants can fit in tunnel easily as long as you pull them into it through the tunnel mouth . you can tell when you didn't do it right cause they will not follow into the tunnel and will instead climb the tunnel opening walls and bug out into the ceiling.

Firiona Vie near zone line to swamp of no hope the one that is close to 3 giant camp. you can pull giant and any wanders frog y melee and sarnak snarlers. The 3 gaints and the sarnak snarlers will stay dark blue till 47 / 48. this maybe be boring but easy spot to afk if you have to do somethign around house.

PS these two spots work great for most any duo and would highly recommmend them .

Fear kite specs till late 40s, Engulf + Spook the Dead it's easy as pie. Doing just 2 spawns in Feerrott keeps you busy nonstop, and you can sell the Scythes to the river ogres + bank in Oggok for relatively decent plat at this level. Dunno how contested they are though, but judging from your post time you'd be euro hours so think at least couple aren't reserved.

I AGREE with this.

On red it's even better since I just booted out the necro that was there. Hohoho.

OP might struggle to be getting a group because of his level in COM. A 40 tank gonna take a lot of damage (versus a 45+ tank), unless he's at the stables.

My SK made it to 43 before I just wasn't getting the group invites anymore, back when Kunark was first released. Ended up giving him up...and now leveling another SK when I'm in a casual mood :)

Your gear isn't too bad but for upgrades I would look into:

Clay guardian shield 25 ac 50hps 1/5 price of atramentous shield.
Keep that helm. Hps> int.
neck: glowing bone collar. (Might be a tough solo camp but possible) ac5 hp25 mana25 although the seb neck is fair.
Belt: sludged girdle is cheap, has more ac and int and hps win win.
Back slot I would try to round up a friend or two and camp the HBC yourself. Great hps until u get a haste cloak or even if u don't.

Otherwise IMO u got enough advice to work with already, good luck!

Your gear is fine, though there are always improvements to be made. Think of it this way, you have quite a number of pieces that come off of 45+ level mobs. You would be considered a twink back in the day.

If you want to group CoM, is TT fear kitable when you can't find a group? Just kite with LFG up if so.

I personally agree with doing Specs. But at that level if you look in the back of UPPER guk near AC camp and on into zone over to live side LGUK there are frogs in that area that are DB - LB. They are a little low level but what I found to make up for it is the insane ZEM that uguk has over lguk.

I thought I would move on into Lguk once they started turning LB and I found that killing the LBs in Uguk was not only easier and more efficient but it also yielded about the same exp as the frogs near the entrance to lguk. However, it starts to die down pretty quick around level 42 or 43 can't remember. Maybe 41.

just my observation anyway.

Solb royals and Bnb all the way to 50 imo. That's what I did, it was very fast.

While we are talkin camps, has anyone tried xp'ing in Kaesora? I noticed a few sites said that the zem there was pretty high compared to other places around that lvl.

My red pally is 47, you guys think he could solo there?

If you can split mobs effectively you could do it. Not a ton of safe spots.

It's an awful zone to get out of because you have to fall down a pit and take a lenghty detour through a fancy mix of living and undead mobs.

Armpit of the Kunark continent, do not go there imo.

Just rename it "Xalgozian Fang, the Zone" imo. Kaesora just blows in every way.
