Unfortunately I have to post more terrible news to the forums about a passing of a friend..

It has been confirmed that our pal Cast has passed away irl. Love him or hate him he was a good pal often misunderstood by these forums due to his antics but I can assure you it was all in good fun. Cast loved EQ and this community. It was a huge part of his life and he will be missed.

RIP pal and god bless. You will always be our Coach.

As someone who has known Cast over the past 10 years, I can confidently call him a dear friend. I was always enamored by the passion that he put into the things that he loved. Cast had many hobbies and endeavors he was quite fond of, but the three that stick out the most to me would be his love of emulated EverQuest servers and their communities, rap and R&B from the 90's, and fabricating stories about his dietary and workout routines.

I know what alot of you guys are thinking: "No way he loved this community! How could he possibly have been a good person?! All he did was post tranny porn!" Well, my friends, you just didn't understand Casts' charm and sense of humor. If he could, he would be posting tranny porn in this very thread, honoring his memory. Is this wrong? Maybe. But it was what he loved, and who are we to come between a man and what he loves? That being said, I would encourage you all to Google "tranny porn" after you read this, just for a brief moment of reflection and to pay your respects.

I know this is brief, but I just wanted a small outlet for my emotions. I think I speak for everyone that knew Cast, and most definitely all of AIMChat when I say, "We love ya', kid.". You will forever be in our "Top 3".

Everyone SHUT THE FUCK up I ain't even joking. Coach was one of the best people I had the pleasure of meeting from this game. People know him for his successful troll personality, but this is the same guy who ran complete newbs from rivervale to qeynos and back with Selos to help them out. Coach always made me laugh, and was one of the smartest guys around. His pop culture references were a 10/10. Life isn't fair sometimes and it claimed his life way too fuckin soon. He got really serious and deep one day and told me how he was abused as a young child by his babysitter, he would be duct taped under the sink while he was babysat. Whenever he was bad they would take his hands and put them under the windowsill and they would slam them down on his fingers.

If Cast is really dead then I'll pay my 2 cents, I knew Cast as well as any gamer on here I imagine. At first we were enemies on Dino Island where I earned his respect by two-boxxing a Ranger/Wizard to hold down the Gem Farm. After we became teammates I learned that Cast, while a unapologetic troll to his enemies, was a loyal teammate. Thick skin was required yes, but he was always true to his pals. If he felt you could game, you felt like you had done something right to earn that. For that reason I imagine a lot of people that he slandered won't miss him. At the end of the day the internet is a cruel place where we put forth whatever persona we want to. He was surely a bitter individual but his comical antics and grabs for attention were not just a selfish need for him I believe, I believe he enjoyed the humor he provided other people for its sake as well. Cast will be missed.
