Kunark launch hit 1000 I believe and that was a big deal back then, wouldn't be surprised to see 2000+ on for Velious.

Tried about everything on the market and came back to EQ which has still the best gameplay there is (period pre Luclin only).
And now that the staff is removing the infinitesimally small toxic minority in a few guilds it approaches perfection.

People say EQ is old, and try to make fun of the people still playing. A lot of games are old, and a lot older than Everquest, like chess... golf... and lot of the games we play worldwide and people are still passionate about them and enjoy them immensely

EQ really is the best mmo (for many of us, though not everyone) out there. Now if only we could update EQ with the graphics of today and still retain the current gameplay of 1999...
