Crash on Firona Vie Zone

I took the boat from BB to TD. Then upon zoning to Firona Vie I DC'd. Now I cannot log back into my char. Upon relogging I get to character select then I select my char and get booted to login screen. I have been trying for like an hour. Help!!

Update: GM moved me to EC. I had no issues. I was ported to Gfay and became stuck again. This happens on 2 separate PCs. I can log into other toons in Gfay but not my main toon. Any ideas?

Even further on this. Have worked with Eumonia to try and resolve. We have not found a solution. The problem zones are Greater Faydark and FV. If I try to zone into either one of those zones, i get booted to login and have to be removed from zone by GM.

BUT, if I create a new character in Greater Fay, he logs in just fine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Also of note, I have tried on 2 separate computers, 1 of which had fresh EQ install. Secondly, router is not involved, I am plugged directly into modem now. Character files have already been deleted.

I have similar situations, add BB and Feerot....GFay was fine until the other day, my EQ experience is shrinking but they will either not respond to you or say "tough shit, can't do anything". Good luck, if you happen to have better luck getting help with this please update the thread.....I would be interested in playing the whole game again.

U can log other Toons in to the zones but not one particular one?

That's real strange... are you using any custom uis? Try deleting all character files (I think there are 2 per character name?) Make sure you don't have an active character online such as wife or friend on same IP.

You can even copy the character files of the toons your able to success fully log into the zone with and replace the names with the name of your "main" having the problem.

Try to close client completely and relaunch don't just close to login screen and reenter.

Updates : Still no fix
-Have tried reinstalling yes
-Have tried 2nd computer fresh install, does not fix
-Deleted all of the char files on both PCs
-The installs are the same installs everyone uses, EQ titanium from torrent

This sounds like the same issue i have been having. The zones you get stuck are have appearantly no limitations. It effects old world as well as new. I have 4 characters stuck this way currently.

If you can character select and load, then it crashes back to log in... you are in the same boat I am in

One of the people with the problem mentioned WinEQ cashe.

its some local cache file I THINK

Are you all using, or have used WINEQ?

Apparently, even if you remove WINEQ it has changed something that may be causing this issue.

I dont use any additional software.

When the character fails to load, a 1018 error is given when the server is selected again right away.

Did some additional testing last night.

Bypassed router for direct connection to modem. Didnt help any, knew it wouldnt, but tried it again anyways.

Deleted all of the ui files for all characters. Still cant log on any locked toon.

At this point im suspicious of my isp and/or modem issues. I am curious if from what i understand of ddos attacks.... if my isp would see extra packets loss and garbage connection and change settings on their end. I did not have any problem at all till the ddos started happening.

It takes longer for the mobo to scan for raid components that it does to actually load windows.

I just ran into this problem also. SOLVED for me at least.
My first zoning ever was from GF to Crushbone, and I crashed and couldn't get back in (multiple tries).

I watched activity on my router, and saw that I needed to open up port 7045 (had previously opened 7048). Worked immediately.

I have done nothing in this game but kill snakes, decaying skeletons, bats, goblin whelps, and deathfist pawns. After 5-6 months of new character after new character, I am at my end with this shit. all i see are other people having issues and no one even giving out more technical suggestions than trivial stupid shit that has been done a million times over. so appearantly we all just want to sit here and have character after character get locked up into nothingness.
