Open Raid Planar Clear New Years Day 5pm EST

Since the first one was so popular I've decided to bring back the open raid on a monthly basis for 2014. The target will be either fear or hate as voted upon in this thread. We will meet up in neriak a for the formation, and thanks to the new pnp there's little grief we can suffer while forming up. All loot will be randomed, and everyone is welcome. This isn't a "red dawn" event although there will likely be many red dawn. Sign up in this thread in possible so I have an idea about our numbers.

Nihilum can't play the game and win with PNP, thus the leaderboards disappeared to hide their fall. Some members will drop the Nihilum tag like a hot potato as soon as they are no longer top dog. Some will quit because they can't win anymore. Some will cheat to keep things the way they are, and they will get the ban hammer.

Just to clarify, deleting chars SHOULD be bannable, but when it's inconsistently applied with contradicting rulings from the GM's themselves with no actual posted rules it's dumb. The biggest impetus for the Mellowyellow situation was that everyone was bragging about the Northwest deletion, including mellow, and we were told SORRY BROS GUARD UR INFOS. Had that been handled according to how Mellow case was handled, there would have never been a Mellow case.

Nah, there just isn't enough content in Kunark to be non-varianced, and expect more than 1 competitive guild. 25 Hrs a week is a fairly minimal time investment for the type of players we have here and is clearly maintainable forever, with even time to grief lowbie planar raids !

The argument of releasing Velious to help this is actually the same argument to put in Variance - variance will spread the content out to take larger time requirements allowing for targets to slip through the cracks, or at least letting people do things under the radar. That's the same argument for Velious, "We will be doing NTov so Talendor may just be forgotten about etc". Having all 7 day timers down on 5 hrs one day a week, VP another day of the week for 5-6 hrs, and then Trak every 3 days which is like an hour just really isn't supporting a competitive environment.

You keep making excuses for why guilds fall, but they're all bullshit like most of the things out of your mouth.

If even 10% of people just said screw it, I'm not going to put in the time required to win raid targets that is a substantial blow to a population that is already critically low. If you're truly concerned about the box population and server health you'd focus your forumquesting efforts on the 1-51 experience, fight for a 4+/- PVP range and getting PVP range restrictions put in place on experience zones like SolB. The most likely people to quit are the ones getting griefed by supertwinks in Unrest not the level 60s who are having trouble getting Trak BPs.

I do know Innoruuk, Cazic Thule, Severilous, Talendor, Venril Sathir, Fay, should not all be dropped in 4-5 hrs one day a week. Those were epic exciting mobs to fight on Live, I've been in Nihium there's no excitement or fun in any of it, just showing up and farming them. It's like static timer, smashing them all back to back cheapens it, Live must have had a small variance to split mobs up, or maybe it was just repops fuck I don't know this is fucking gay though,

Actually they were. Maybe not on whatever server you played on, but on all the high pop servers all those mobs died in succession, usually to a single guild. Just looking at old EQ guild archives I see they often cleared not only those mobs you listed, but also VP and numerous velious bosses all in a days time.
