Most non-classic thing about this server? We're not in middle school anymore. We're mostly in our late 20s or early 30s, and our RL obligations aren't restricted to school hours. We have jobs, families, and dozens of other RL responsibilities that should take precedent over an elf sim.
If the goal of this server is to allow players to enjoy the EQ content they fell in love with over a decade ago, requiring cut-throat 24/7 batphone/poopsocking is clearly out of line with the that goal. Having one guild keep some of the most interesting content in the game from the rest of the server is also clearly out of line with that goal.
Raid loot isn't important for the power it provides; it's important to enhance the satisfaction of killing a god damn dragon in the game we all love.
