So I think my original thread was posted in the wrong section, so I am reposting here.
Hey all,
I am relatively new to the chanter class (lvl 60 on red but only have played the last few months) and looking for some pro PvP strategies and tips. Any constructive advice would be appreciated.
Let me clarify my original post.
I know all the basics, but the basics don't cut it on on R99. I am looking for advice from the pros. Like strategies for particular classes in 1v1 fights, best way to actually kill someone given our DPS, which spells are worthless / invaluable in PvP, and so forth.
Oh and don't think I am asking for a "chanters for dummies" guide. I could continue to learn and adjust after each PvP encounter, but given the chanters versatility and large number of spells, I am hoping that y'all can throw some knowledge my way.

The best tip for casters vs melee will always be get lev in a bottom buff slot and abuse the z axis.

Ask, that guy who's always at spectre caves, I forgot his damn name, he loves charming specs on noobs there.
Levi, and rune is pro move, play like a wiz, don't run into combat, range ur oponent and ur pet.

Of course; Peggy cloak 4tw. However, any melee worth a damn also buries their lev, thus pillaging the melee until their lev is gone is usually my top most priority.

Wand of Allure is great when you pell their pet and click it they never think its a pet they should pell they think it's just broken and aggroed on them. Many a kill I have secured with that item.

Haha that is a good idea. The other day I had a bind rushing necro that kept dispelling my charm, so after the third time I killed them, I just mem blurred my pet. When they came back the fourth time, BLAM! Necro ate an xp death. Normally I wouldn't do that, but the bind rushing was getting old.

Well here is one mediocre player that wants tips on how to give you some competition. Got any innovative strategies, suggestions, various pearls of wisdom, or are you just here to forumquest?

Enchanters are tough and being prepared is crucial. Crim pots ruin your best strategy. If you can get a good pet and have the charm buried a bit you should be good with a lot of fights.
Melee can't regain concentration so just try to interrupt their dispels any way you can, make sure they need at least 2 on your pet to break charm.
Casters are squishy so if you can sick the pet on them and use a combo of rapture/mana sieve/nukes you should do well.
Runes are a must.
If you get jumped off guard just try to get away.

So true. The problem is that most red players always have crim pots, so basically rapture functions as nothing more than an irresistible stun.

The rapture / mana sieve combo rarely works due to crim pots, because if the target isn't mezzed, I usually die before they run OOM.
If you get jumped off guard just try to get away.
In my experience, that applies to most caster fights on red.

Really? I will have to try them out again cause I have had limited success in the past.

If you can get anything to land that interrupts then I would go with that paired with a good pet or just dementia nukes depending on the opponent.
If you are going against a cleric steal their mana and keep runes on yourself if they are nuking you. You may not even need to use mez on them.
