This morning I wake up to find a couple email and PM's asking why I joined Red Dawn. I've played the game a total of 4 minutes since September, long enough to see a bunch of the biggest crybaby trollers on the server with Nihilum tags, and then logged off.

Of course at some point someone probably mentioned in ooc I was still playing, and secretly a red dawn member, so it's of course true. All of my board access was removed, even my ability to post in the general section.

To the Nihilum leadership, if you're so concerned about me having board access I'd probably recommend PMing supreme to remove my website access, because if I was planning on doing damage that would be more of a pain in the ass. Since I've always been a loyal Nihilum member, of course I wouldn't bother with that. However if you're being paranoid I'd recommend that first.

I would have just given all my chars to friends in the guild if you asked, or probably returned eventually. I appreciate the reminder of the drama that I'm missing though. Actually as far as I'm concerned if any of the danes or people I've played with for a while in nihilum want my chars they are welcome to them I suppose.

The paranoia that led to your loss of access was basically how my membership was in nihilum for over a year. Every spell / forum leak / item leak was insta rage on me with zero proof or info. There is no trust, which isn't surprising when you consider there's multiple account strippers in the guild as well as RMTers. While some of my fondest moments on p99 were those mid 20's hoshkar kills, those days are long gone. A salute to you sir, and a spot is always welcome if you're looking to help play with a bunch of completely new faces to the server, many of whom are very nice people (aka not the same recycled trolls).

I appreciate that HB. Nihilum has a lot of good people still, but recruiting people that just wanted to troll and see the server fail pisses me off. I might just take you up on that at some point. Can never have too many clerics in an up and coming guild, and I do enjoy teh healing. Helping new people in Uprising and such was more fun than farming the same stuff

We both know that old members retain their forum access, until rumors start to fly. I'm sure it's just coincidence though that people send me email/pms asking if I joined red dawn, and I log in to check to see my forum access is removed. Also if it was done as a casual thing that happens to everyone why was I blocked from using even the public forum that anyone can use?

Of course I'm sure all old long time members that have dedicated themselves to the guild get blocked from using even the public forums.

Being a sell-out and not wanting to interact with personalities you dislike are two different things. If Azrael had leadership to make them a real contesting factor, they would have been one by now. There is nothing wrong with wanting to experience game content and get loot you couldn't otherwise.

In my initial post I shared the problems I had with red99/nihilum. Since then I came back and posted issues I had with Nihilum. I never talked about how great other games are, I talked about enjoying playing star wars and doing the pvp there. I don't shit on the server, I shit on Nihilums recruiting policy.

Frankly we can keep this on a civil level, or you can just blame me after being a loyal member for 2 years. I prefer the former, but if you want to start making shit up, I can make this change over more adversarial, I don't really have a problem with that if you want to go that route.

Yet your guild routinely harasses untagged lowbies, nukes lowbies from on top in CoM, has RMTers / Boxers / Exploiters in it, etc. Red Dawn meanwhile has a strict non-griefing, no CC'ing policy, no attacking nakeds, at punishment of guild removal. We follow strict adherence of all rules, and any real life threats / inappropriate actions, WILL be dealt with.

I was more about playing for the people than I was for the gear. I didn't really ask for a lot. As for star wars, there's still CC but you can click your escape hotkey to get out of it. If you get CC'd again you have to wait, but someone invariably hits you and you get out.

I play a healer since most warzones are healer light, and I enjoy it. One good healer can turn the tide of the entire fight, it's pretty cool. Getting pretty good at alternating between damage and healing depending on whats needed at that point, and always manage to top the healing charts.

It's nice to show up for a warzone and be appreciated, and have people stick close to you because they know you'll keep them alive. No drama, no bullshit, no message board crap. I never realized what a drain this server is.

The longer I read these boards the more I remember why I stopped playing.

Okay i stumbled into this thread, and this shit makes me sick, i totally agree with Malevz, im glad you guys keep reminding us why we aint playing on this server anymore.

Im gonna come clean here, i initially joined Nihilum on Santor with the pure intent to try to steer shit up from within and to leak vital information about gathering/timers to the "uprising", this eventually flawed after a few well timed server repops.

Along the way tho i got to encounter a few individuals in Nihilum that stood out, that i acctually felt were good people and that i enjoyed spending time with. When it became pretty clear that there would never be ANY competition during kunark i figured id just gear up, check out how to invispull entire VP, and then scoot and await two possible scenarios.
A) opposition would get rid of the bad apples that kept fucking them up (for example Agatha)
B) That people inside Nihilum would get sick of a RED server without PVP and that they would man the fuck up, disband and compete.

Sadly, looking at this now in perspective after several months absence, it looks like the bad apples even ended up joining Nihilum, and about THREE people were bold enough to drop the guild and atleast accept the fact that they atleast now can PVP on a pvp server.

Sure I spent a lot of time playing eqemu on VZTZ and some other servers from 20 to 23 as a college student. Then I grew up.

I don't know how old nizzar is but I'm guessing at least late 20s. Same goes for tune. I'm sure they are older than that too. The amount these guys play at these ages is repulsive. I could never devote that kind of time now in my life. I'm engaged and have a serious job. I guess these dudes are trust fund babies or live in grandmas basement.
