Every time I log back on I have to reset all of my key bindings because for some reason playing through WINEQ2 isn't saving them. Anyone else have this issue or a fix?

launch your game as an administrator, and don't use /ex to leave game after setting your macros.

I always camp and click all the buttons to quit rather than /q or /ex =/ I'll try the administrator thing. Thanks

Didn't work. Looks like I will just have to set all the key bindings every time I log in.

Move your EQ folder out your program files folder and shouldnt be a issue. will have to redo your shortcuts though.

It isn't in a program files folder. Is that the problem maybe?

One bump to see if anyone has a fix. Otherwise I will just keep taking the minute or so to re-do my bindings every time I log in.

Should I do it while I have the game open and I'm playing?

Doing the eqclient thing didn't work either. Looks like I'll be resetting my bindings every time I log in. FML

Someone else was just having this issue and removing 'read-only' attrib from his Everquest folder worked. Try that, and continue to run your game as administrator.

To remove read-only you can just right click your EQ folder > click on properties > on the General tab uncheck the box marked as read-only > hit apply. You should get a prompt asking if you want this to apply to all sub-folders as well > click yes.

Thanks. I will give that a shot after work tonight.

Pretty sure that is the issue. I tried to make the folder not read-only and every time I make the change it reverts back to read-only. It is currently installed on an external HDD.

once you apply the changes after making it not read-only it will continue to appear as though it is read-only, but it will not be. Have you tried running it after applying changes?

I have. I think it is all because jesus hates me.
