I have a weird fault onmy sound/audio. Seems to not work 50% of the time, for no obvious reason.
Thinki need to reinstall it, but am having problems locating the right files....
VIA (3059) Audio controller (ALC650) REALTEK AC97
IF that makes sense to someone Id appreciate help finding the update files......its a win xp system. (not the most recent)

laptop? And if desktop it might be a cord issue, usually is when I have that happen.

think its software problem.

seems that windows audio device has been stopped from working.
I used to run avg tuneup software, but uninstalled it this week, as i wasnt convinced by it.
Seems to have messed up my audio......How do i turn it back on?

wots very odd about this is, when booting up the pc, the sound card works 40% of the time.....
the rest there`no active mixer devices` prompt comes up wheni clickon the speaker in systray.
SO has me flumuxed !
