Often when PCs get hit for high amounts of damage, i.e double 1500 wurm in VP, Players will be knocked unconscious even though the player's actual hp is not even close (it's happened to me even when knocked to around 20% Hp).

The hp display bar goes to 0, then bounces back up.

This happens in many other cases, but is most extreme with hard hitting NPCs. The early unconsciousness can halt running, break feign death's, and interrupt spell casting, which usually gets players killed.

I notice that whenever I get knocked unconscious in this it messes up my mouse control and sometimes my camera view. I'll have to reorient everything which is a big hassle since if I wasn't dead then, I am now.

Might as well fix this now as Velious has many heavy hitters and it will be a much larger issue then.

There was definitely an issue like this in classic through most of Velious with pain and suffering taking fools out.

Notice 5023 CH, then the amount of damage he takes, then dies

my suggestion is that the client calculated that you would die anyways and speeds things up :)

Yeah I remember having something like that on classic. It was due to server lag and it was only once I ever experienced it.
Normally I could get down to even 1 hp, if I had to, without going unconscious even once, when I tried to get bandaging up and was either drowning myself or jumping down from high places. This is not possible on P99. Try it for yourself. I actually lost like 30% exp (3 deaths) when I tried drowning myself on this server, because you cant move when you fall unconscious and then drown completely.

Everyone should also remember that at higher level going unconscious almost never happened. You died instantly. On P99 you go unconscious regularly all the time even at high level, because health calculation is broken.

Noticed this in a duel the other day with one of those hard hitting monk throwy things

went unconscious and then my hp immediately shot back to 30%, where it should have been

I don't remember this from classic but it could have been there

being knocked down by big hits that almost kill you is classic.
this is not a bug.
this was intended effect of being borderline knocked unconscious.
the only thing that should be fixed is losing mouse control because of it.

This. Might have logs of it but i would have to check. Anyways I tagged Cucumbers's baby cleric with a suriken of the tranquil for the lulz. He immediately took a 2 second dirt nap and regained consciousness shortly there after. I've seen this happen a few times though but only in super hard hittingobs such as dual wielding HoV.

Don't change it! The early unconcscious bug just makes it all the more rewarding when you somehow manage to channel a spellcast through faux-death and then somehow survive the fight.

happens commonly on red specially if a rogue hits you with a hard backstab, dirtnaps them then back up to 20 or 30 usually. by then though they are usuallly dead.

Seen this happen once or twice to people in sky on bee or DW spiroc etc. They got knocked unconscious and then beat on for a few more rounds before they could get up heh

It happened on my first round BoTB loss. I hit Agnome with a heavy backstab towards the end and I saw him drop, thought he was dead and let my guard down.
