Screen blackout when alt tabbing

As the title says, the game tends to blacken the entire game window when I alt tab out. Generally speaking this is fine and I can alt tab to my web browser. However, I was just trying to run Victoria 2 and EQ at the same time, absolutely nothing on my power drain and EQ1 blacked out.

I've also noticed that sometimes it does this if I alt-tab when loading. Whether it's form server select to character select or when zoning.

I run Windows 7 on a AMD Athlon(tm) II X4 630 Processor (4 CPUs), ~2.8GHz
NVIDIA GeForce GTS 450 is my graphics card.

Some other programs will tend to give you a black screen. If you've ever tried ctrl/alt/del you'll definitely get the black screen... just be careful what you have open. I've never had an issue alt-tabbing to Firefox and back again though.

As for loading screens (the time when you WANT to alt-tab the most in my case), yeah the screen can black out but once character select/new zone has loaded its fine again.
