Have followed the guide to the T for installing the emulator.

Titanium Installed and not updated.
Eqhost.txt edited.
Files Deleted.
Patch files placed into the Directory.
Login information approved on EQEMU.

really frustrated because I've tried it all, also have wineq.

I get through with no issues all the way up to when I click play Everquest on the 1999 server.. after a screen flicker and 15 seconds it goes back to login.

Frustrated because Im looking forward to getting back into game.

There's some sort of networking issues going on with some users man, I'm currently experiencing it also. There are several threads related to various issues apparently after they moved their server location or some such, iono.

Well that's unfortunate. I know its definitely not me because I used that auto installer that seems to work for all and its still doing it

Are you trying to log into the red server for the first time?

If that's the case, you need to log into blue first before logging into red. After that, logging into red works every time.

Keep trying is all I can say and try the normal reboot or reset of router/modem

That's your problem. Don't use EQEmulauncher.

As far as "Red server" reply, I'm assuming you mean the PVP? I simply want to play the PVE version.

Flushing DNS..not that tech savy but I will try the reset of the modem and router.

Old IP Address?

this is what I use:
[LoginServer]
Host=login.eqemulator.net:5998

and as far as not using the EMU launcher Ive done both, going through the Launch Titanium Batch file, and used emu...also used a shortcut with "patchme" at the end minus the quotes of course..

Also note after I get pushed back to login screen and re-attepmt server list it gives me error 1017 for all subsequent logins.. I am still able to see the server list however

I'm still unable to connect =/

Install Titanium Client

Use DUXA all in one to make adjustments:
http://www.project1999.com/forums/showthread.php?t=28335&highlight=duxa+installer

MANUALLY download and install the latest patch, found HERE
http://www.project1999.org/files/P99Files30.zip

never open EQEmuLauncher by Moes Taverne. NEVER. Don't even have it on your machine if you only play p1999.

Make sure your shortcut is to eqgame.exe not everquest.exe, along with patchme tag.

MAKE SURE YOU RUN ALL .exe AS ADMINISTRATOR LEVEL.

Log into Classic p1999 blue server, not the red pvp one.

Make character.

Did you do all these things? Which one didnt you do?

I literally have done all of these. It's extremely irritating at this point..I never downloaded any thing with moes tavern so I'm good on that front. I'm going to delete it all and rerun through it one more time if it doesn't work guess I'm screwed

damn... make sure your drivers all updated... i had the problem but it was trying to log in a new EMU account to RED before trying to log in to blue... good luck let us know

Did everything over again from scratch....and still getting booted to login screen.

Idk what else to do this rly sucks!!

Running Windows 8.1 which probably doesnt help but regardless.

Installed fresh Titanium, Ran Duxa, EQgame.exe with patch me at the end of the target,
Manually transferred files from the Zip patch folder into my EQ directory.

Ran Game through created Desktop Icon, entered my info, got to server splash, chose 1999 Blue, RIGHT BACK TO LOGIN SCREEN.

Guess its not ment for me to play this!

Also subsequent logins are still telling me I need to rerun updater - Ala Error 1017

try making another eqemu login account or a new loginserver account entirely at this point and see if that changes results

So installed on my girls computer, which is windows 7 and got in flawlessly.

going to need some 8.1 support here if any1 has some info for me. I have attempted to run in all compatibility modes

It's not just an os issue, I can get in with my satellite internet but if I use my 4g connection for my phone (which used to work) it does exactly the same as what you have experienced. It is the same on my pc which I run Vista and on my laptop which has Windows 7. The reason I was using my 4g connection was because my satellite connection has major issues I am assuming due to the high ping with anything over in the kunark lands and areas of the old world like BB and East Commons.

I have posted many times regarding this issue and even put up a post in the petition section but although I have 6 views on the thread (only the game managers can view petitions) nobody has responded. I FEEL YOUR PAIN! Hopefully they figure out what is going on because not being able to play in half the world really is frustrating. :(

Well Im not sure we can chalk it up to a connection either considering my other computer is in the same exact room on the same exact network and I had ZERO problems with that install.

I even installed Live just to get a fix, and getting a wicker hyperspeed issue on that so thats not even playable for me. Guess EQ is out of the picture for me

wow really thought it was going to work by now.. thread still informative keep us updated if you try other stuff, at least we'll know what didnt work

can you try a different driver version, like an older one? ... not sure if this is the route to go but reading about this now

your machine looks pretty nice if anything its like, too advanced!

You run peerblock or something? This has to be a firewall /port issue, doesn't it? Something is seeing you try and connect and pushing you back. What firewalls do you run? Wireless connection? I run a cat-5 cable to ensure I'm not using home wi-fi, and try disabling firewalls and closing off peerblock or peerguardian or anything you may be running. Also, what processes are running?

I'd also try running eq using WinEQ2.15

Sentury
12-12-2013, 05:27 PM
I run NO peerblocks, its a brand new build.

Windows firewall I disabled completely just to make sure it wasnt that.

Wired Connection

processes - http://www.mediafire.com/view/55yul3vlhcstcay/Screenshot%20(2).png

Win EQ doesnt help at all.

Couple posts up I even mentioned that I used Live to get a fix of the game, and when I logged in, I was in hyperspeed, showing my 8 core needed to be toned down. Every fix that worked for everyone else eg: INI edit, cpu affinity, MOBO turbo turned off all OC off didint work either lol.. so im at a loss

Have you tried connecting to any of the other servers (either red server, or a non Project 1999 server) from the server select screen? If so, does it allow you to do that? (Trying to narrow it down to a Project 1999 issue, or a server select issue.

I use Windows 8.1, and it works. I have only had an issue with the video resolution, but I resolved it. Can you go to your P99 installation folder, and browse to the logs folder? Post the dbg log file so it can be viewed here. I will help you get the problem resolved.

I found a way to resolve my problem with this thread: http://www.project1999.org/forums/archive/index.php/t-93732.html

It was an overclocking issue.
