If you are poor should a person who is rich be required to give you money?
This is the variance thread with a different title.

Wow. This is about as bad an analogy as it gets, and I'm a libertarian against social welfare.

Lol are you trying to relate this to variance?
You are acting like the kid who unplugs the other persons controller on sega because they are out playing you in a game of sonic pinball

The point is, of course those who currently DON'T get dragons are going to vote yes. No matter if its a good or bad thing. Its just different and they see anything different as being better than the current.
The problem is they lack the foresight to see the long term consequences.

I still remember my local MTG/Pog/Comic shop in MI, "The Gold Mine". Good times, only reason I even got into mtg was my mom found a revised starter pack + boosters at a garage sale in like 97 and thought I'd like it.
Flash forward to me in middle school ignoring the overheard announcement for "Card Club" yearbook pictures trying to pretend I wasn't an avid member and ultranerd at age 11.

Rich people woudln't be rich if it werent for the rest of us, that includes poor people.
People think they have a "right" or "entitlement" to this money thing and power, and riches...
I find that a pretty fucking amusing delusion.

It isn't that great, the small decksize prevents anyone with actual talent to prevail. Too much topdecking and a lot of cards still need to be toned down.
Arena is pretty fun though, I once got 4 pyroblasts in my deck (10 dmg mage card) and drew them all fairly late into the game and played them all back to back. Pretty lulzy, if you want to pull off good wombo combos, go priest, take MoguShan Guardian, Double Divine Spirit into Inner Fire, you now have a tank mob with 28/28 and in 1 turn can ruin a whole game lol

oh, and I get it now...
also...
being rich/having pixels/money/friends
won't make you good at eq, pvp, or life.
so for the really dumb....
having variance (making the rich share) won't make you good at this game (make you rich in whatever it is people seem to value in this game)
you all will still suck, including the rich.
my peom is complete.

Fuck no. The guy who inherits millions or sits in his office getting millions rightfully deserves it. He worked hard for that shit.
If the guy who is working and not getting enough money to feed himself/family; They deserve to starve to death. Fuck that family.

It has everything to do with endless threads about changing game mechanics that give people something for nothing. Fact that you don't realize only more indicative of the problem.

there should be no social welfare at all, or unemployment
organized government slavery if you fail to get a job to support yourself. Tehre is endless opportunities for people to pursue wealth and careers in life, theres no survival of the fittest in our world and stupids are breeding faster then smart people
not only should wealthy people not be obligated to help poor in any way, but if you are poor and fail at life you should be enslaved to do the tasks people don't want to
so would you rather your taxes go to a guy with a family to feed that just got laid off of work for no reason whatsoever other than his company got shit on by china, or a fella who chooses not to work

Have Had some of the best pvp over a vulak that had variance on it for years and years even after the game "sucked" and it even gave the underdog a chance sometimes, 50 people can only sit in 1 spot for so long then they get bored, they go afk to they alot of shit, it also doesn't guarantee that you will get the mob. What happens if trak is suppose to spawn at 10pm est with a 8 hour variance timer. Yes u might get trak if he spawns within 2 hours of so, but what if he spawns at 4 in the morning and half your guild has gone to sleep or is afk. Ya you will have to invest way more time if you want to guarantee yourself that mob. welcome to EVERquest ( oh and its just a game not a job )
