This is the majority of Nihilum members these days, guys who started 9-12 months into the server who weren't around for the days of Holocaust wiping the floor with the zerg. These people feel entitled to loot because they've slaved for the same 4 hours each week to kill every dragon for Nizzar and they want to use their hard earned punch-card DKP.

They've had 18 months of punch card killing dragons, make them earn it with variance. You'll see how fast a bunch of entitled whiners like Elderan will fold under the variance. Even if (lets just assume for Nihilum's sake) everyone is wrong and it won't create more pvp or more smaller guilds to contest the mobs, at least it forces Nihilum to log in for more than 4 hours a week. Being the worst case scenario for implementation, it's still better than the former.

We've learned its better for the server to invite players that would otherwise quit the box than play with the alternative. Half the people in Nihilum started in another guild like one of the iterations of azrael.
