We had the exp bonus for years, its time to go back to the CLASSICAL roots of the server and watch it thrive and prosper. No more artificially inflating the player base. Experience is almost perfect as is (in fact, I think it might be a little TOO fast still - perhaps we could tune it down to about 0.75x its current value). Don't listen to the vocal minority who want it sped up so they can bard kite their 5th level 60. CLASSIC exp promotes grouping and more importantly, mid level PVP!!! It's the JOURNEY, not everyone needs to be instant level 60 fighting over veeshan peak throwing corpse after corpse like call of everquest.

I'm hoping they remove the 8 level range and make it 4 so a bunch of level 51 alts need to get leveled up to 55 for maximum OOR healer efficiency. Then maybe I'll get in some groups in my 50s!

I'd argue if you don't care about exp/loot then you're on the wrong server. Plenty of arena style EQ PVP only servers where you can log in and get a geared out level 60 and duke it out. Or is it the appeal of being able to drop bronze wearing level 52s that keeps you around?

I play casually for the most part, probably 10-15 hours a week and I'm level 52 doing almost nothing but solo exp... I started doing paw entrance/aviaks in SK in my 20s through about 32 then moved to Cynthia in RM, then on to specs all the way until level 51. I barely moved during that time aside from gating to the bank to sell scythes and a 2 minute run back once an hour.


This is undeniable PROOF that exp bonus is ruining the server and causing the problems. The exp bonus causes players to do everything possible to stay alone and secluded. No one groups, no one has fun, no one PVPs mid levels. Rogean decided he didn't want anymore CALL OF EVERQUEST and removed the exp bonus. Level 52 by a casual in a few weeks barely playing, never pvping, only grinding alone. How fucking sad/pathetic! How can you claim there are MORE people playing when these players just grind alone?

With the exp bonus gone we can finally get the JOURNEY OF EVERQUEST like it was meant to be: classic as FUCK exp! No more bard kiting to level 60 in a day for your 6th max level character, this is how everquest is meant to be played. Thank you Rogean please don't flip flop to appease a few loud players.

Pretty much the opposite in the grand scheme of things. People doing it big in real life aren't promoting slower exp on a game this old. It makes sense if it is a relevant game with competition. This server is so people can fuck around, enjoy a little nostalgia, play with some friends etc. You are taking the server too serious.

There are probably 30-40 people that play this server way to serious and the remainder of the population are casuals that you "hardcore" players will never be able to understand. Listening to your predictions of what normal people think about server rules is laughable.
