This page has several mentions of Xuzl having a high level of taunt. Whether they mean it uses the taunt ability or it simply generates a lot of aggro quickly is unclear.

Doesn't the Xuzl pet have like one hit point? Low hp agro is probably the issue, it doesn't matter if it is taunting or not it's going to get spanked

It does have single digit hp on p99, but it should have 150 hp as per live in this era. That wouldn't be low hp aggro though as it is at 100% hp.

Maybe on live where the source is talking about, it is getting driven to low hp by riposte/ds so the mob turns to finish it?

Certainly on p99 this pet can and does use the taunt ability. Sadly makes it impossible to use this pet for aggro kiting solo.
