Pulled an all nighter so this is probably a bad idea.

The biggest problem about teams for me, is how teams are frozen there and if theres a pop imbalance, tough shit. Dont like the guilds on your team, tough shit.

So how about a NPC that lets you switch teams, say, every month or whatev

This might just make the zerg bigger though, retracted

If we are considering fully custom teams, how about teams lvl 1 - 50, then FFA 50+. Or maybe teams 1 - 59 and FFA at lvl 60. Oh, maybe you just get assigned a random team every so many days /played. Lots of interesting custom rule sets are possible; lets make a new retarded thread for each one!

Well, somethings gotta be done about pop imbalance. Lets be an asshole sourpuss about people trying to come up with food for thought.

I was one of the first to suggest a non-classic rule set (Teams A, B & C chosen at chara creation), but was called dumb etc for doing so. At this point I am sick of all the team threads and just want the staff to pick a rule set, beta test it, and adjust as needed.

The more I read these threads on the teams server, the more I think people will stay on/move back to red.

Not really with a month in between switches. BUt like i said, this is probably mainly going to be used to switch to wherever the zerg is, so not a good idea.

But all u team cheerleaders better think of something, the teams pop are not to be magically balanced.

Oh i got it, once the pop goes beyond a % threshold, open the transfers to the low pop team. Not alot of people gonna jump im sure, but its a start.

Or randomly shuffle some people from the overpop team for some epic rage threads.

ya cuz ffa clearly balances guilds lul.

dude no matter what the ruleset, players can fuck it up. cant blame the ruleset, blame the pop. also if you dont like teams then dont fuckin play.

if pop wants to all join one team, there is really nothing u can do about it. same with ffa and everyone joining one guild.

I just dont want it to fail, is that so bad an intention.

Just trying to think of ways to solve the overpop problem, because its going to be a major one. Teams is harder to make it work.

Right but on FFA it can always change. Teams is locked

If everyone joins one team that gives me more incentive to roll a different team and kill them all.

I did the same thing for my short duration on Sullon Zek GOOGOGO GOOD TEAM

I haven't seen this mentioned before (albeit I haven't been looking at every thread that goes through here) but wouldn't it make sense to give the team with a lower population an XP bonus? That is a lot of incentive to play another team and it isn't as destructive to the community like sta/res/etc bonus's to offset the losing team.
