Seeing as there is no way of obtaining this the proper way due to all the AoE groups, I was wondering if a kind group would let me loot a pipe that drops. I don't like MQing and I really don't like the idea of having to buy something that would have been ooc'd freely on live.
If i'm out of my fucking mind for such a request, let me know.

I duo'ed the zone-in/zone-out on my cleric with an enchanter before the AOE Chardok stuff got fashionable... shame to see it locked down in this manner, but I can understand why :)

I highly doubt you'll be able to do this. I tried to pay for loot rights (as opposed to have it MQed) and 2 times people won the roll and told me that "it was for a friend", and a third time apparently someone didnt understand the difference between loot rights and MQ so they looted it. Doubt anyone would let you have for free what they could sell for 10kish, but I mean it never hurts to ask right?

Sometimes people who win it give it to their friend. Otherwise, I've seen several monks come in, and pay within 2 hours and leave with their pipe.

If you try, I think you'd find someone who'd sell it quickly - otherwise, you could work up that faction in Droga then do some aoe pulls ;) Or dive in with a group. The aoe teams have no right to the camp.

There is a safe room in the same hall betrayer pops in. Also, pathers in the zone have a faster respawn than the rest of the zone. An iksar betrayer is a pather. I'll let you figure the rest out.

The problem is that there is literally always an AoE group in there. I've been on at 3am and they are still going. The window where I would be able to acquire 5 friends and get in there to set up is so slim and even then I'm pretty sure that they would just pull mobs over us and probably get us killed anyway.

Which room would you be referring to? From what I understand the betrayer is in a different location from what I remember on live. I know that I should be in the tunnel which requires levitate to reach from the first "castle". Where exactly should I set up to avoid being inadvertently trained?

This is how all epics should be... quested and not MQ'ed.

Don't pay the 10k, hold firm and take a group in there to get it. Tell the AOE group what you're up to... they can't object as you can't call a whole zone as your camp.

My guild wouldn't have a problem helping me, I just don't want to subject friends of mine to unnecessary headaches for things that benefit me alone (i.e. my buddies likely dying to pulls from AoE'ers) and I don't like to step on toes (taking mobs I'm sure the AoE'ers want). From 1-50 I met a lot of nice people, started running into a lot of dickheads lately as I crept past 52 so I'm pretty leery on the higher level zones that are more popular.

Can't camp an entire zone.

Take a group down and do the damned thing, should be really easy if the entire zone is down. Just walk down to what you want, shout that you are now camping it... what the hell are they going to do? switch from AoE to your betrayer camp?

If they train you, just petition and get the puller suspended.

IF they aren't shit bags, they'll continue on without any problems and if they are... well they will get suspended and cry while you work on your epic.

I have petitioned trainers in the past but would never would get my petitions answered. I'm fortunate to be able to play here for free, appreciate that GMs are volunteers and don't want to deal with stupid shit so I would like to save myself and them from additional problems. My computer wouldn't be able to handle running video recording on top of EQ. So I'm a bit gun shy from previous training experiences, especially when a corpse run in chardok is such a pain in the ass.

pop off several screen shots and you should be fine. It's not a raid dispute, it's a camp dispute. When you petition about being trained, just keep playing, if there is an active staff member (and lord knows they have a ton of them running around these days on the forums) you should have someone come and watch you. They may not answer, but they should hop over to see what's going on.

If there is an AoE group in Chardok and they can't tolerate someone grabbing a camp for their epic, they deserve to be suspended.

I'm in Chardok AoE often enough and I can tell you that a) as long as you communicate with the puller, and are aware of how his pulls are pathing, you should be safe. And Autotune is correct, AoE groups have no right to cry if you want in and take the camp.

Wait for a pull to complete, go to the camp, and settle in. Communicate with whoever is pulling or in charge of the aoe group.

Have done this camp numerous times with an AoE group there. You set up in slave room. If they have a good puller they can still pull aoe pulls and leave the top part of that tunnel clear. And as somemone mentioned Iksar Betrayers is a roamer which pops faster then the static mob, so aoe group makes it easier to kill then harder. Get a shaman/cleric partner and duo just the roamer inbetween their pulls. I did this with a cleric and we killed 3 mobs, the roamer and 2 outside door that didnt pick up in aoe pull. Most ae groups will work with you on this. Gluck on your adventures, also i believe there are some groups that would freely give pipe, they may ask you to do shopping or transfers for them, but i know we have given pipes to monks who needed it.

El do get on tonight we'll go get this shit in and done son. i need an epic drop here too that 100% isnt pulled by AoE groups. We'll get some lewts, epic drops, maybe perhaps have some pancakes

This should be how it goes, but you really never know on p99. Regardless, you should approach the situation in this manner.
