(edit: BLUE SERVER ONLY)

Happy day, gamers!

The problem is:
Mistmoore Castle and High Hold Keep are usually PACKED.

The solution is:
There is NEVER anyone in Cazic Thule nor anyone of appropriate level in Permafrost.

I would like to assemble a quality team of 6 each weekday evening from about 6:30 to 11:00 Pacific time (Thanksgiving day and weekend times TBD) to enjoy peaceful, never a camp check, never getting trained action!

Please post your character name, class, and level if this interests you.

(If someone has a teamspeak, mumble, etc. we could use, that would be amazing.)

Andervin 26 enchanter. CT is where my original enchanter cut his teeth on CC. I've been by there a few times on p99 but it was deserted save a few ppl camping nameds. Does the ZEM suck compared to MM or something?

I'm on the east coast but would love to join you for the first half of this session, or more depending on the day.

They do indeed.

I think the healing mobs (aka an actual challenge) are the main reason nobody goes to CT. The whole min\max mindset has fundamentally changed the way a lot of people consume classic EQ content, and CT is just a poor exp return for your overall time investment. I personally love it though, so many memories of grinding out characters there in classic down at the gator pond and temple. I have a 21 rogue named Sutures who I'd be happy to tag along with once I get a few more levels.

Gotta watch out for runners in permafrost, they all run and run fast, so snare/root is a necessity. Alot of good loot for groups of 22+ though

It's not so much that the mobs you're killing are healers, but that no matter where you go, there will be several cleric mobs in casting range (and behind walls) that will heal the mob you're fighting. Stuns don't help at all there.

If you bring enough DPS to kill mobs faster than they can be healed, you'll do okay, but it's annoying (and dangerous) otherwise.

The alligators in CT are easy experience! I highly recommend them for leveling purposes. I leveled from 25-35 on them.

This sounds like a lot of fun, and ya MM and Unrest are always packed!! I have a level 25 monk named Nysa, she's fairly twinked (IFS/FBSS combo). My schedule is kinda crazy this week with the holiday but I'll be available to play all night tomorrow, I'm also PST.

The mobs do not CH. They do heal but they have low HP so it looks like a lot. You need to pull to specific spots so mobs do not heal your targets through the walls. For pulling Maze pull to inside maze door or entrance to the zone. Gators are great XP for high 20s, low 30s and they don't get heals and then you can move to temple around mid 30s. For temple pull to the 2 gorillas near the entrance otherwise you are going to have to battle heals again. Remember Root and Lulls help with CC! You don't need mez... p.s. don't let the mobs run! greens agro and they run to find big brother!

CT is great xp! Fun zone! Just need to keep those mobs out of range of heals and kill the clerics first

Great to see some interest.
CT and Perma nuances (aka difficulty) are easy to learn. More so without the added trains from others or worrying about training others. If a runner gets away, zone out and try again. No harm done.

The obvious drawback is the location. Perma is a mission no matter what. CT isn't really too far from EC.

@Cookiefist Rubicite and Journeyman Boots belong in Najena. Just sayin'.

Vizjeri had a lot of fun! Gotcha on friends, hit me up anytime for exp like that. Dinged 27 and got halfway to 28. pr0.

Hope to see more faces down in the swamp next time! Thanks again to Brellum for teh healz.

Another fun night.
Attendees: Nysa, Andervin, Benzoate, Ainwein, Satori, Aolene.

To the high levels who came through with buffs, thank you very much.
A druid and a shaman, their names escape me. Sorry for that.

and thats why MM is more popular. 90% of the mobs up to CE are melee and the healers have set spawn points.

Pleased to see CT getting some traffic.

It was a blast. I noticed that CT does get tons of wiz port traffic though. We derailed quite a few trains from the maze. It's easy folks, you land on the port facing west; go directly straight ahead to the door. :p
