Item loot server: your gearing up strategy

So there is much debate over the item loot / team pvp server.

I've seen people saying it won't work because they'll rage quit after losing the item they spent 3 weeks questing for.

So what will be your strategies for staying geared on the server?

Rolling a mage and filling that last empty slot with a cloth necklace at level 49?

Only looting what you find because really the first 40 levels of classic content gear is just a safety net for the lazy/incompetent and by the time you are levelled you will have found enough half decent items anyway?

Putting in three times as much effort into acquiring spare items to keep in the bank to quickly refill any empty slots?

AC rules so just pump out cheap banded place holders each time a slot needs refilling?

Being a Pvp king that never loses items, only gains them?

Item loot kills the server without a PERFECT plan how to do it.

Id suggest that pvp kills/assists give tokens. Lets say with like 100 tokens you can loot 1 item of your choice(no-drop included) off pvp. Thats how people would pvp more and the threat that its YOU losing the item would be lower. Thus makin people not as afraid to pvp.

I will play a warrior for the natural MR.. fuck gearing up, use whatever 2hander I can get ahold of to punish anyone silly enough to play anything but a wizard on a server full of nakeds. Destroying any item I loot that cannot be equipped.

I highly doubt primary weapons will be lootable.
