Maugarim

I've camped Maugarim in the Kerran village for about 8 hours now with no luck. She is for Greaves of the penitent and shouldn't have a place holder as far as i know. I have also tracked all over the zone, and shes not up anywhere else ether. She should spawn inside the Temple, past kerran amira priestess behind the altar down a hall in a small room (to the left).

Nope. She spawns on the island, as per classic.

To obtain the Icon of the Penitent, head to the Kerran village via Toxxulia Forest. Maugarim is at location 4.67, 2300.68, -0.55 inside the High Temple near the prison past Khonza Mitty of Kerra or a kerran amira priestess behind the altar down a hall in a small room (to the left). Maugarim cons blue to a 28th level Cleric, but is easy enough to take down. You must be sure that she does not run or else you will have to try again. There may be a gorilla guard in the corner of the hallway that may add during the melee, and should not pose a problem unless it kills Maugarim before you do.

Upon killing Maugarim, you see the message: "Your faction standing with Bertoxxulous got worse." http://everquest.allakhazam.com/db/quest.html?quest=687

As of last night there was a regular kerran resident in her place. IE kill her you take faction hit from the kerrans. Maugarim is on different faction (and kos to the kerrans to boot).

I've also been killing her placeholder on and off for the last few weeks but was waiting for verification from someone else to post about it. She has not shown herself yet.

Been sitting next to where Maugarim (cleric Greaves of the Penitent) is supposed to spawn on Kera ridge for about 8 hours now, and he still havn't spawned

According to that 1999 post. You kill the roaming mobs to get her to spawn. Which would be skeletons. Can anyone comfirm this is how she spawns? I been killing them for 2 days now and nothing. I could just wipe the island but everything else has a faction hit and i am already KoS to 80% of the server. So am clinging to what little faction i have. ;)

kill necros and skellys on that island, she will eventualy spawn there!

I can, I killed her a week or 2 ago. I killed the roaming skeletons, but I got bored and killed a lot of stuff on that island, I did not kill anything that gave me a faction hit, but there are a lot of stationary skeletons and necros that never gave me any faction hits.

She spawned right in the main path of that island, next to the necros, who did not add when i attacked her.

Question - why would you need Kerra faction after you get that item? Odds are you won't be back or to high a level next time for them to do anything to you.

To be exact. There are 2 necros w/ pet there to the left when you swim up. She was up in place of the one on the right.
