Lets assume we go with a 3 team hardcoded teams format. in regard to name colors, please pick one.

Option 1) each team has its own color, and it never changes (3 Colors)

Option 2) each team has its own color, but players in pvp range will be a darker shade of that teams color (3 colors)

Option 3) your team is always colorA(ie:blue?), all other teams appear as colorB(ie:red?) (2 colors)

Option 4) you team is always colorA(ie:blue?), all other teams appear as colorB(ie:red), and other team members in pvp range appear a darker shade of colorB(ie:dark red) (2 colors)

Option 5) other - please explain

Thanks!

the main thing i like on vz tz was yellow elf names.

my vote is 1 because i do not believe in level ranges. one team one fight!

probably 2 just to keep uniqueness
also knowing whos ir in a group sitting below u in crushbone is also cool so u dont end up trying to nuke someone who is OOR
ty ty

I'd be happy with either 1 or 2.

I'd be fine with 1 or 2, but I think 2 provides some interesting information even before and encounter starts, so I like it.

probably 2 just to keep uniqueness can u make it an actual pole like zade did though ?

I think option 1 would be best. To determine if they're in range you could just use the /con system. Have them /con even if they're in range. Easy.

Option 2 or Option 1 with yellow elf, orange evil, etc

darker shade if they're in range or a con system

Option 1, people in range are just even con, out of range red or green depending on higher or lower.

What Hughman said.

Something like:

Evil = Orange names
Good = Yellow names
Neut = Blue names

If the devs decide to go with evil, good & neut Teams

or maybe this

Evil = Orange
Elves & Shorts = Yellow
Humans = Blue

If Devs go with a more VZ/TZ style split

I think #1 with a conning provision is the best alternative having thought about it for a while and having voted #2

I voted #1 but considered #2. It would be more fun to freak out for a moment running into an unknown enemy before you can /con to determine if in range.

I voted other, explained why, you delete my post? Just change the other vote to #1, post was 100% on topic.

your suggestion was good but involved four teams, i asked you to assume 3 teams <3

few of us wish to change our vote to 2

Option two so as to not risk being infuriated when you needlessly blow mana.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind any colour scheme where conning was used to determine pvp range.

Blue, Navy, Aquamarine for obvious reasons.

I don't see a meaningful distinction between options 1 and 3 or 2 and 4 honestly. Assuming a good/evil/neutral setup, does it really matter if it's a good or neutral person when I'm evil? The enemy is the enemy.

I guess if there are 3 team battles it would help to differentiate targets? I voted for #4 though as seems simpler.

Evil = Orange names
Neut = Yellow names
Good = Blue names

Maybe purple for good blue shouldn't be a color on an eq pvp server
