Windows 8.1 Pro & EQ

Has anyone tried playing EQ on Windows 8.1 Pro? Well I have...

For many months now I've run EQ on Windows 8 with no problems at all... last night I "upgraded" to Windows 8.1 and now EQ is BROKEN! When EQ starts to load to the character select screen... BOOM! I get a memory related error and EQ closes.

Anyone else have issues with 8.1?

Friend of mine did computer share with the guy in this thread: http://www.project1999.org/forums/showthread.php?t=126758

He tried the compatibility thing, and it didn't work on his PC. That guy is currently playing the game, but on a different PC.

Despite it working. Def going back to win7 pro... way better drivers all around for my juicy box
